What a wonderful friendly welcome from Harry and Louise, so welcoming after a long journey down. We were lucky to have the self contained apartment for our visit which had everything you could wish and was extremely comfortable. Whilst still having a very tasty and filling breakfast of our choice. Nothing was too much trouble. Including accepting our dog sparky. I would highly recommend anyone to visit and stay either in the annex or in the main house as we have done previously you will not be disappointed. It’s also in close proximity to Westward Ho and Bideford and an easy drive to Woolacombe. Can’t wait for our next trip.

We stayed here in august. It's our second time to book the annex. I can not say enough good things about this lovely annex a real home from home feeling completely indepedant from the main house. Lots of room and more important well kept buy owners. Your left wanting for nothing. Look closely and you'll even find a pair of knippex pipe pliers.
Breakfast is spot on. Very close to the fantasic local known quite beaches. Lots of great eating houses close buy and very reasonable taxi services as recomended by the owners.
All in all spot on

This is a review about the self contained annexe so not the bed and breakfast of the main house.

The flat/anne was all you could want and more. Very clean, fresh and modern fittings. Louise and Harry are a lovely couple who can't do enough for you. The kitchen is a good size with full size cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and digital radio! It is well stocked with every utensil and piece of crockery you could need. They seem to have thought of everything from egg cups to full sewing kit with spare buttons and even a shoe polishing kit. Simple things like clip and lock plastic boxes made picnic packing so much easier. There was also a thermos flask should we have needed it. There were basic stock cupboard ingredients and condiments which again meant you did not need to rush to the shops or buy double of something you had at home. Fresh milk, butter and bread were also provided. The main bedroom is twin beds (see photo) with firm mattresses. This suited me very well but my partner prefers a softer mattress (just personal preference). My step daughter found her guest bed in the front room very comfortable (Proper mattress). The furniture arrangements for this room are flexible depending on who is staying. The wifi was working well on our arrival but there were issues with the hub that arose during our stay. Harry and Louise did their best to get it fixed as quickly as possible and they were most apologetic for the inconvenience caused. There is a good 3G signal so we just used that instead. All in all we had a lovely time in North Devon and this was enhanced so much by our wonderful accommodation and hosts. We would definitely stay here again as it was excellent value for money, easy access to main roads and close to the lovely beach of Westward Ho! Thank you again. We loved it here.

Thank you for writing such a lovely review of the annex- we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us.We are pleased to report that full internet service is restored-we thought it was just our own hub but it turns out that other people in Bideford were affected by our provider too.
We always value feedback and we will look into mattress toppers as an option for those who prefer a soft mattress-good point.
Thanks again and hope to welcome you all back another time.

Room was a suite, spotless really nice and enjoyable stay, Good WiFi, breakfast was excellent. It was hard to find something to eat as Bideford restaurants seemed to stop serving at 9pm. Harry and Louise were great hosts.

Room Tip: Stayed double suite, which was excellent

It was a brief 48 hour trip to the area to meet son's partner's family. It rained pretty much the whole time we were there and could have been a very dreary time but for the bright welcome we received from Harry when we arrived.
The accommodation is a suite of living room with en-suite bathroom and bedroom and opened straight onto the breakfast room. Lots of tea available and a very welcome complimentary beer in the fridge!
Great full English for breakfast and a pleasant, quiet place to stay.
