Two of us had a nice lunch at the Schloßberg-Gaststätte. The restaurant was not crowded, but there was a wedding reception taking place in an adjacent space. This may have had an impact on the service in the restaurant. Ours was slow and inconsistent.
The menu had a very nice selection of dishes. My wife chose the Zander while I chose the Spare Ribs. The Zander was good and there was a generous portion of vegetables and potatoes. The Spare Ribs were different, and not what I had expected. To me, the meat should be slow-cooked to caramelize the sauce and to impart the barbecue favor. This sauce was more liquid and less flavorful - but neither excellent nor bad. The accompanying salad was generous and the bread good.
On the positive side, the bill for the two meals and two beers was a reasonable 29€.
