“Ideal spot for a relaxing break.”

We have just spent four nights in Stour Barn, a lovely, cosy little barn which is full of character and wonderfully equipped with everything we needed. The welcome basket was much appreciated, as was the packet of doggy sticks for Milo! The garden is small but beautifully formed and a lovely spot to sit with a glass of wine in the evenings. It is well situated with lots of lovely places to visit within easy reach. Hope to go back again one day.

We was recommended these barns by one of our dog walking friends who often stays here with their dogs.
We stayed in Orwell barn for the weekend as a last minute break before our baby is due in September.
The barn literally is like home from home with everything you need. It is kept very clean and well equipped. The barn has underfloor heating and a log burner which I can imagine will be lovely and cosy in the winter.
Loved the welcome hamper on our arrival and the information book was very helpful. The garden area is very private with a small bar bq and table and chairs.
Visited nearby stonham barns and had a treatment in the beauty barn! Was lovely.
Went for nice dog walks nearby.
Had a lovely curry at the curry inn in needham market and a nice Sunday lunch at the Kings head laxfield which is one of the oldest pubs that doesn't have a counter just beer barrels to choose beer from.
Will definitely be back again once the new arrival is here!

“Third Visit to Woodfarm barns”
Reviewed July 11, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We returned for our third visit to Orwell Barn and again enjoyed every moment. We opened the barn door and immediately felt relaxed and at home. Once again Carl had provided a lovely basket of breakfast and other goodies which we really look forward to. Sitting down in the enclosed garden with that first cup of tea and a cookie from the basket is a just a joy. There is such an atmosphere of peace and calm which seems to be shared by the other four barns near to ours. This not the place for you if you like to play loud music and party! The noises you usually hear are the occasional bark from one of the dog friendly barns and the birds singing. It surprises me every time that we feel so content here. You can be as lazy or active as you want and still not want to leave. You can't fault it for the perfect escape.

“A fabulous hideaway”
Reviewed July 6, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We have stayed here twice over the last couple of months, and both times have been great. The barns are hidden away down a country lane, and look absolutely gorgeous in among the trees. The Stour Barn that we stayed in was very tastefully furnished, and very pretty inside with exposed beams. Our dog Ben loved it, with his own treat on arrival, and a private garden for him to run round in! We found it a lovely place to unwind, and a good base from which to explore the Suffolk countryside. We would recommend it to anyone looking to relax and unwind in the country.

“5* Beautiful and relaxing holiday hideaway!”
Reviewed June 23, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Found this little gem by chance whilst browsing the net for a short break holiday. The barns are set in beautiful gardens with water features and a gazebo overlooking a pond full of huge Koi carp! My husband and I stayed in Gipping barn for 2 people with an open plan layout and a mezzanine floor bedroom. The barn was decorated superbly with lovely quirky finishing touches! Carl, the owner, left a complimentary packed breakfast plus basket with too many items to list here! Dogs are very welcome in the barns, which is an important factor for many people. Nothing is too much trouble for Carl, he's always on hand to sort out any queries. We visited the nearby unspoilt coastal resorts of Aldeburgh and Southwold plus the towns of Woodbridge and Bury St Edmund. The beautiful villages of Long Melford and Lavenham well worth a visit too. Fully recommend these lovely barns and this part of Suffolk! Will definitely be revisiting Woodfarm Barns in the near future!!!
