We were recommended this pub and visited with 3 adults and a toddler. The conservatory was lovely, the service was efficient and the food was nice but we felt we had had better elsewhere. Expensive for what we got but a pleasant night out.

Visited The Rock whilst on holiday and were not disappointed. Tucked away in Georgeham with a lovely, airy conservatory covered with vines gave it a very European atmosphere. Staff were very attentive, very varied menu, gluten free options no problem and food was fantastic. So good we had to return several times! Well done The Rock team!

3 couples, and we all loved everything.
We had to change our booking time at the last minute but this was not an issue for the great team at the Rock and accommodated us with no fuss whatsoever.
Our food was very tasty and enjoyable, served by a very friendly and efficient team. You need to book as very popular in the summer months but don’t let that put you off as well worth it !
The bus from Barnstaple will drop you off but you will need a taxi back as last but isn’t late.
Saunton taxi turned up on time as always and would highly recommend Steve to bring you home safe and sound.
Gra and Sandy x

This is an awesome pub. In the summer between 18.00-21.30 the restaurant shines! The food is excellent. You may have to wait a little longer but as all is cooked from fresh to your order then it is well worth it!

The ale and wine are first class - this is beer heaven and wine magic.

If you want great food and drink this is where it is ... well done to all the staff as service is great. Enjoy!!!!!!!

First time visit to this 17th Century pub in North Devon. We ate in the conservatory which had a grapevine on the ceiling and fairy lights. We were served quickly by friendly staff and the menu was good with lots of fish but a couple of things were unavailable that night. I had sea bass with chorizo, mussels and samphire. It did need a side order of brown bread though to mop up the gorgeous juices! The pudding was a chocolate lovers delight! Chocolate fondant, raspberry sorbet, raspberries and coulis! The Merlot we had was lovely, smooth and delicious with a warming finish. Apparently the Sunday roasts are plentiful and delicious too! Definitely worth a visit!!
