This spotlessly clean hotel is a five minute drive from Carlisle. The only services are a garage and a Costa but there are the usual eateries not far away. The room was big but stifling hot as there is no air conditioning nor even a fan. If we had the window open the noise from the motorway was awful. The bed was way too hard for me and I woke up with back ache. The bathroom was quite modern and had a shower over the bath. The staff are very friendly. The WiFi is free for 30 mins or for £3 you can have faster broadband. It was a convenient place to stay on our way down south, and quite good value at £42, 3ven if the bed was hard!

Thank you for reviewing our Carlisle Todhills Travelodge.

We're really sorry to learn you did not have a fan within your room and the noise from the traffic affected your stay with us.

We are also very sorry to learn the bed was not to your liking and we will ensure to pass your feedback on to the relevant department.

Once again thank you for your review.

Driving from the South of England this Travelodge is in an ideal position for an overnight stop. All the staff are always friendly and ready to help and the place is always clean and tidy. I find the per night prices jump about all over the place which seems to be a Travelodge trait these days, so advance booking if you can gives time to pick a better price than short notice would allow. Recent outside flowerbed renovations give a really nice first impression. (I understand - done by a staff member in his own time!).

Lovely place to stay In order to break a long journey up to Scotland. Staff very friendly and courteous a very satisfactory stay. Would not hesitate to book again when in the area. Rooms very comfortable and beds provide a good nights rest.

Nice and tidy, cheap and cheerful. Comfortable bed, good shower. The staff always give you a smile and are ready to help you out if they can ☺ I stayed for one night at the last minute, as couldn't travel home. Would stay again.

Having read the negative reviews, u can only assume that they refer to a different hotel!

I found the staff very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The room was the usual clean, tidy standard with comfortable bed and HD TV.

Would recommend this and will be using it again when in the area.

The only downside is it can only be accessed when travelling south on the M6 but that isn't a major problem.
