Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary never fails to amaze me with their incredible work with injured and orphaned wildlife. They keep their rehab animals behind the scenes with minimal human contact in order to ensure they do not become habituated to humans, but their permanent residents, who are rescues from captive situations and non-releasable for various reasons, are able to be seen via private tour. Their permanent animals are kept win large, natural enclosures, specifically designed for their species' needs. These animals always have the choice whether or not they want to be seen, but they are generally interested in private tours. The tours are great for the whole family, (all by appointment, so call ahead), and also give you the opportunity to learn about coexisting with wild animals. Aspen Valley does incredible work, and will always have my support via donations.
