This was our third time here and has become a must for every visit to this area. This restaurant has a fabulous terrace looking out over Canigou and the area below. The service is always excellent with very smiley staff who do all they can to make your time there as special as they can.....and it is always special! The tapas are delicious and varied. I love the prawns in tempura and the potatoes with alioli. Delicious. The tapas are also served at just the right pace. If you are in Eus, treat yourself to a long and leisurely lunch on this terrace...you will not be sorry!

We enjoyed two good nights at the cafe, one was a private birthday party which was very well catered for and good food.
Very popular so need to book in holiday season.

We stumbled upon Cafe El Lluert on a chilly October Sunday in an otherwise closed down town of Eus. At first we were just looking for coffee, but saw the tapas menu and decided to give it a try. We ordered one serving of all the tapas on the days menu. Many were really good, some were exciting and excellent. We still smile about the wonderful meal that took us by surprise that day. We will certainly be back!

Outstanding selection of tapas. Really liked the garlic prawns and potato with alioli. Not sure why "DonBoy" found the potatoes to strongly garlic flavoured.

The service was a little slow - all the more time to enjoy the views to Canigo and drink a pichet of the excellent house rosé! Everything was piping hot and freshly cooked.

We returned later in the week and really enjoyed a Jazz Concert - part of the Les Nits d'Eus festival. Les Nits is an annual event held at the cafe and a few other local venues. It has an eclectic programme ranging from chamber music to jazz and some poetry too.

I first came here a couple of years ago and really liked it. Then I was for dinner, with a fantastic view towards the darkened Pyrenees. This time it was for lunch, with of course an entirely different but equally astounding sun-drenched vista. But what was the same was the terrific quality of the food and service - all the different tapas like small (not that small in fact!) gourmet dishes. When you go back to a place you have liked in the past, it's sometimes a disappointment - but not here. Great relaxed atmosphere too, and - not compulsory this! - we ended up playing dominoes with a couple of locals. In fact, it's certainly not a place mainly for tourists, though tourists are welcomed.
