We had no intention of stopping in Millesimo on our way home back to Fayence but it was noon and we were hungry so we pulled into Millesimo. There was a street market filled with vegetable and cheese stalls, salamis, and roasted chicken vendors. At a vegetable stall I asked the woman next to me where we could eat lunch. Everybody in line and the stall owners got involved. After much laughing discussion there was a consensus: turn around and go into Trattoria Nazionale. It was a great suggestion. We wanted something light. My wife had puffy little ravioli with meat sauce and I had a bowl of spaghetti with an excellent basil pesto. No wine; I had four hours of autoroute ahead of me but my wife had the house tiramisu which was very good. By the time we left the tiny restaurant had filled with locals and it looked like everybody was digging into the pasta. It's a great simple little restaurant with good food and friendly service.
