Visited Peter and Sally at Domaine La Veronique with friends for a cookery course and really didn't know what to expect. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed to their beautiful home and more importantly, made to feel completely at home. The cooking course was excellent catering for a range of levels, running at our pace and the menu was varied and (despite our hands on) delicious! The house is set in stunning surroundings and made for a great al fresco lunch. Peter and Sally - thanks for making it a wonderful experience!

We arranged to visit Sally and Peter at La Domaine Veronique for a one day cookery course, shared amongst 8 friends, and what a fab time we had! The welcome was warm, the location gorgeous and the 3-course al fresco lunch (which we cooked) was excellent, and accompanied by delicious local wines. We were a group of mixed culinary abilities, with one coeliac and a couple of food intolerances thrown in, but Peter was patient, knowledgeable and encouraging, and made sure everyone felt relaxed about cooking in his well equipped kitchen. It was a lovely hands-on morning with lots of laughs and we all came away feeling full of joie de vivre!
Whether you're after a day, half day or longer culinary course I would have no hesitation in recommending a trip out to the lovely Domaine Veronique, set looking out over vineyards and with an inviting pool and sun terrace.

We had a wonderful day with Peter and Sally in their charming home in the foothills of Minervois. Against a backdrop of vineyards and gently rolling countryside we spent the morning leaning to cook four dishes for a delicious seasonal lunch. Peter was a relaxed and patient teacher who involved all eight of us in different tasks. The results were great which we enjoyed eating on a sunny terrace with a selection of local wines. It was a really pleasant experience that I think even the most novice cook would enjoy.

What a beautiful experience at their lovely home. Spent a week here to do cooking lessons with Peter and ended up learning more than just cooking techniques. The wonderful Sally is so sweet and so amazingly talented. You must get her to play the piano and sing for you! Remarkable. The food, the wine, the company, meeting new people from all over the world, the daily excursions with our own personal tour guide, Alfonz led to a truly unforgettable week in such a beautiful setting in the south of France. If you decide to do the cooking lessons with Peter, or even just stay at their home, just go straight to Sally and don't bother booking through an agent or elsewhere. She was the only one to help me when I was stranded, alone, in a foreign country due to airline strikes. They are welcome in my home anytime!

We stayed here for 3 nights having chosen it on the basis of its location - we like to stay a little away from major centers. The location is lovely - set amongst vineyards whose bounty was being harvested and with a great pool to relax in. We didn't do the cooking classes though after 3 magnificent dinners prepared by Peter, it's definitely on the agenda now. The food was wonderful together with great local wines to complement. This didn't feel like you were staying in a hotel but that you were just spending time with friends and their gorgeous pooch! Ticks all the boxes for us.

Room Tip: All the rooms are equally good.
