Fantastic view and spacious and clean room with everything you need. Not too much in the way of restaurants etc in the immediate area so keep that in mind. Perfect for being ready for the boat trips out.

Given that there aren't a lot of options in this area , Burtons goes above & beyond to provide for the needs of travelers. Rooms are clean, bright , accessible with modern amenities , even accommodating wheelchairs, Wifi included. The hosts were fabulous & the view is out of this world amazing. Definitely would stay there again! Thank you hosts Debbie & Melvin Burton.

The accommodations are nothing special and a bit dated, BUT you need to come here for the location. The views are amazing! Just be aware that this is a remote area north of the Cabot Trail and places to eat are few and far between. Since each unit at Burton's has a kitchenette, you may want to plan on bringing food for every meal as you will be too busy enjoying the scenery to want to leave and make the trek out for meals. The owners, Mel and Debbie, are locals and a wealth of knowledge. If you hike to Money Point, be sure to talk to Mel about his time as the lighthouse keeper there.

Room Tip: We had the end unit (#5) away from office and it was very quiet

On our trip around the Cabot Trail we stayed at Burtons. The owners are Cape Bretoners and we felt like we were at home. I highly recommend this motel on your visit to Cape Breton. Spectacular view and stunning sunset.

Unsurpassed beauty surrounds the lodging facility. The view outside our room is amazing and enticed us to enjoy it all day. Our host's hospitality was very warm and helpful. The room has basic pleasant decor and all of equipment that we needed when eating light meals in our rooms. Large bathrooms were very welcome and serviceable. Intending to stay only two nights, we stayed and additional night. Though very distant for us, we look forward to returning to this inspirational destination. Good job, Burtons!
