Afternoon tea as a treat, just the 2 of us. As usual it was great. Lovely venue just off the square in Old Llantrisant, Cara and Anne really look after you. Tea for 2, for each a strawberry tart, scone with cream and jam, slice of cake of your choice - I had coffee sponge, the wife a traditional victoria sponge, with 5 mini sandwiches - ham, cheese and onion, coronation chicken, egg mayo and cucumber, all made fresh in house, with pots of welsh afternoon tea, more than enough to fill you up. Nice to see it packed, great mix of families with kids, ladies who lunch and people calling in for a slice and a drink. Great value at £12.50 each, and far better than that found at the big hotels. Roll on Christmas.

What a lovely find!

Met with a friend who had visited previously and has booked a Harry Potter party for her daughters upcoming birthday.

I had a latte and raspberry and white chocolate cake which was gorgeous. Totally spoilt for choice and the staff are more than happy to talk you through all the delights they have on offer.

Will definitely visit again.

AMAZING!!!!!
Friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Family's, friends and couples enjoying the delicious food that was on offer.
Great sandwich selection, ham, cheese, cucumber and egg. Mix of white and brown bread.
Quick trip to the counter to select the cakes. Today's included Victoria sponge, salted caramel, mixed berry, lemon and caramel. All are home baked. 2 slices of each (or should I say slabs).
Anything that can't be eaten can be wrapped and taken home.
Great value for money. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Oh, what a lovely place !
We stopped here after a trip to the Royal Mint on what must have been one of if not the hottest days of the summer and discovered a real treat. We had a sandwich lunch but feel we inadvertently somehow missed out !! When we looked around the tearoom all the other customers were having afternoon tea which looked fantastic. Oh, dear, does this mean we will just have to return if only to sample it for ourselve s ? !!!
I should add that the sandwiches were delicious and the ladies running the teashop were friendly and welcoming.

Visited The Polkadot Teapot for the first time just recently and it certainly won't be the last. The cakes are just amazing, all home made and absolutely yummy. My friend and I both had the salted caramel sponge and would thoroughly recommend it, they do speciality teas and different coffees all at very reasonable prices, can't believe I live just 3 miles away and have never visited before but I will be from now on.

If you're visiting the area of Llantrisant call in and have a relaxing hour or so with delicious cake and tea in a lovely peaceful environment served by happy ladies who enjoy their job.
