Morton island and Tangalooma resort exceeded our expectations, providing a relaxing environment with some stunning snorkelling. Beautiful sand walking, on both beach and dunes (including sand tobogganing) and sailing. Watching, and or participating, where agreed, in feeding the wild animals was special. These included pelicans, kookaburras and dolphins. The resort is well serviced by a ferry from Brisbane and the island is well worth exploring. 98% sand requires four wheel drives as there are no metal-top roads on the island. Sandy tracks, rutted and bumpy, allow access around the nature reserve. It is a fascinating place to visit, but with limited access and expensive activities and food, you need to pre plan and organise your visit in advance. A romantic spot where both sunrise and sunset can be witnessed over the sea on Australia’s east coast. Villa 19, which we stayed in, was very well appointed, serviced and located. On Easter Sunday we went on a very informative coach trip around part of the island and as the usual pub could not cater food that day a feast was provided by the tour company. The tour guide was excellent adding much to our knowledge of the Moreton Island history, culture, flora and fauna.

What an amazing gem of a holiday destination.

Beautiful surrounds. Pristine waters. Rooms were impressively clean & staff friendly; with the exception of one poor & unfriendly dining experience at “Fire & Stone”.

This was our first time travelling to Tangalooma and now we want to go every year. The service was outstanding and location is brilliant. The illuminated wrecks tour and blue lagoon were our favourites. It's the perfect family holiday.

The Ferry over was well organised. Reception on arrival was great. Deep Blue Apart was excellent Quad Bikes was excellent.Copper Grill was excellent the first night (Sat) and second visit (Thurs) was quite poor sadly. Chinese Restaurant was OK but we felt very rushed, Mains were brought out while Entrees were still being eaten and it was quiet while we were there, then the Dolphin feeders arrived as we were leaving and they got real busy so I wonder why all the panic. Beach was lovely. The Bird Feeding and Eco tours were excellent as well. The loading of passengers for the return ferries was very poorly organised, an absolute mess IMHO.

Tangalooma is beautiful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The shower needs to be updated as they were crap. Our highlights were the quad bike activity, sand tobogganing and the dolphin feeding. Surcharges were a pain in the butt and made it an expensive trip.
