My husband and I stayed here for one night as the starting point of our drive around the Cabot Trail. We wish we had stayed here both nights of our trip, and driven back on the second night! The hosts, Donna-Lynn and Gary were absolutely wonderful. They have gone above and beyond to provide a very comfortable, luxurious stay! The attention to detail in their rooms and the breakfast they offer makes them a 5 star establishment. Everything from the linens, duvet, extra plush towels, decor, cleanliness, mini-fridge, coffee maker in the room, beautiful hefty home-made breakfast was exquisite. Donna-Lynn was kind enough to share one of her recipe’s with me. Their breakfast spread was beautifully set, the coffee was delicious, and the food was plentiful. It is hard to find such service and location in the area, this is a stand-out property! They back onto a beautiful pebbled beach, and are a 10 minute drive from downtown Baddeck. Donna-Lynn went out of her way and sent me several emails with restaurant and evening entertainment options, before we arrived. They would go out of their way for any of their guests to ensure they have the best possible stay and trip in the area. Keep in mind, most places close fairly early. We did not mind spending most of the evening at the Best & Breakfast, it was comfortable and relaxing, and has beautiful views.
