“Lovely hotel”
Reviewed 4 June 2012

Our stay at the Atrium Palace was the second one, having returned after 5 years. It was as good if not better than our first visit. Having purchased the half board option, we realised from other guests that there was an all inclusive option - much better value as the price of drinks and food were quite high.
The hotel stands in a quiet area, a ten minute bus ride from Lindos, and has very good standards with plenty of staff in the restaurant, and groundstaff looking after the beautiful gardens. The hotel has sun beds in numerous different areas and nobody needs to feel 'crammed in'. Always plenty of room around the pool which was kept very clean and tidy.
We felt that our returning visit was recognised by the staff as such and special mention must be made of Savvas Papantoniou, the maitre de. He was very accommodating and ran the restaurant like clockwork, always obliging with requests for seating areas.
Also Pani in the pool bar was a credit to the hotel with his kindness and understanding of foreigners needs.
A marvellous spa was experienced by both of us and the shop in the hotel was selling goods at the same price as the local supermarket.
Lovely rooms ( recommend one with a sea view in the main hotel). Overall a beautiful hotel which I would put as a 4* plus plus. The only thing in our view that was letting it down as 5* was the lack of enforcement of a dress code in the restaurant (not being snobby but T shirts and jeans/shorts in the evening in temperatures at the end of May - around 25 degrees - are not really acceptable). There also appeared to be an abundance of cats roaming the restaurant and whilst most diners tried to 'shoo' ther cats away, therfe were always a few who fed them at the tables.
We wouldn't hesitate to return and will probably do so next year.
Thanks to the hotel manager Apostolos for keeping a lovely hotel!

Room Tip: Recommend room in the main hotel building - not quite so far to walk to dinner!

We absoultely loved our stay here. It was just what we were looking for. Fantastic pools, great service and lovely hotel room. It was really clean and spacious. The bathroom was suprisingly big, if a little old. Wifi was a bit patchy in the room and mostly didn't connect unless you were by the door...but that was the only downside. The buffet breakfast was fantastic - they even had champagne on the Sunday morning! Just lovely!

Service was really good and everyone was so helpful and friendly.

The 'beach' is typical european - so pebbles. But was still quite pleasant to sit on the lounge chairs and relax.

It's about a 45min drive from the Rhodes airport and is only 5 mins from Lindos. The restaurants in Lindos are great and have a good selection of local food as well as the typical tourist fare.

I would definitely reccommend this hotel and would come back again.

Excellent hotel, with comfortable rooms and exceptional grounds. Although it is located quite far away from the nearest town there is a frequent bus service to and from Lindos.

Last but not least the stuff without exception is fantastic, very professional, happy and alwags willing to do the extra mile for you. Welldone to all staff teams.

I cannot fault this hotel without being extremely picky. It is modern, spacious, clean, comfortable and happy. The staff, without exception are excellent in all that they do and, without exception, are warm, welcoming, friendly and always willing to help.
The hotel grounds are beautifully laid out in well maintained gardens within which are situated the pool areas. Sunbeds seemed to be plentiful being placed under fixed "reed" umbrellas for shade - which is needed at mid-day but they aren't so packed in that you can't enjoy them.
Food is good with a buffet available at breakfast and dinner but with staff on hand to cook hot food to order.
Dinner also centres round an impressive buffet, particulary for starters and sweet courses, and my only occasional (nit-picking) gripe is that sometimes the main course meat selections were overcooked. That said there is a daily a-la-carte choice of four dishes and I would defy anyone to leave the restaurant unsatisfied.
Bedrooms are clean and kept clean daily with regular changes of bed linen to keep everything fresh. All have a balcony but useage seemed minimal probably because the grounds and public areas of the hotel are so much more attractive and comfortable. Some unthinking and selfish "nutters" did sit on one talking with friends until the early hours one night but, apart from that, a good nights sleep was easily obtained. The air conditioning unit can be left on because it is extraordinarily quiet compared to all others I have sampled.
After dinner each night there is live entertainment preceded by a "mini-disco" during which the activities team (who organise water polo, water aerobics, table tennis etc during the day, dance with the small children. The team is brilliant with the kids and very patiently teach them the steps. The kids love it and them. I also very much enjoyed watching these sessions as did almost everyone else. They last about 30 mins after which the entertainment proper starts.
It all contributes to the "happy" atmosphere of the place. If a change is required there are six Tavernas within comfortable waking distance (3 to 10 minutes).
Although the hotel is, otherwise, in the middle of nowhere there is a local bus route a ten minute walk away and trips to nearby Lindos and to (c70 minutes away) Rhodes are cheap and easy to do. Both towns are worth a visit but only if you take the trouble to explore them - for which walking (up hill in Lindos) is essential.
I will definitely return to the Atrium Palace.

Room Tip: Don't pay extra for a full sea view. It is not particularly close or worth the extra.

We stayed at the Atrium Palace hotel from 9-23 May 2012 and had a very enjoyable stay. The reception staff, cleaners, restaurant manager, waiters and chefs' were so good and helpful that it would be impossible to find fault with them. Though we were full board we ate out a couple of times and the food was not as good as at the hotel. Atrium Palace Hotel was amazing, beautifuly designed and run by a marvelous team. Our holiday was recommended and booked by Lynn from Miss Ellies' Travel, thank you Lynn for your help.

Room Tip: Don't get a room above the bar if you have young children.

I have just come back from a week away at the Atrium Palace on Rhodes all inclusive. The hotel was in excellent condition, all look new and was very clean. We stayed in a ground floor room with private pool. It was meant to be heated but didnt feel that way so was quite cold, plus the sun was only on our terrace some of the day. The room was large and clean with a big TV, nice bathroom. The cleaners came a little too often, once in the morning and then in the evening so we saw quite a bit of them. The room had a mini bar which was well stocked but only the first fill of beer and soft drinks were free which was annoying.

The hotel was by the beach but it wasnt sandy so we didnt spend any time down there. There were three main pools which were nice, two had bars. The drinks were excellent, all proper brands and they did really nice cocktails.

The food was of good quality if not a little stange. Firstly you had to choose your table on day one which you kept for all your dinners, breakfast and lunch you could sit any where. The starters were from a buffet as were the puddings. The main was a choice of 4 which were displayed. These were very small and not up to the standard of the buffet. There were to other restaurants that you had to pay for. We had one free meal in one which was nice but the same food as was in the buffet so not worth paying for.

The staff spoke good english and were generally very friends. The guests were a mix from around the world and everyone seemed to get on well. Only one big group of english who were a little annoying.

Excellent points:
Big clean room.
Good quality food and drinks.
Nice swimming pools and general area.
Well kept clean toilets.
Excellent gym facilities.

Bad points:
There were a lot of bugs around, mainly being giant crickets/grasshoppers.
Not everyone was all inclusive so you had to take a card round saying you were (after day one the staff knew so wasnt a problem.
Really small main meals.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone but please bear in mind that a 5 star resort over there is not the same as the hilton here. The hotel is near Lindos which is nice but you need transport to go anywhere else.

When we were there the hotel was quite quiet so was nice but it might be a bit different when full.

Room Tip: One with its own pool.

We have recently returned from a superb 10 day stay at the Atrium Palace booked via Travelzoo. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the housekeeping staff do an excellent job. We booked half board with a sea view room, but on arrival we were upgraded to a ground floor room with our own private pool! This was such a bonus, as it meant we could sunbathe on our own terrace on very comfy sunbeds, and could use the kettle provided to make a coffee whenever we wanted. The bed was VERY comfortable and very large, and the sheets were fantastic! Luxury bathroom with jacuzzi bath, bathrobes and slippers, and towels and toiletries were changed daily.
Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of choices on the buffet-make sure you find the girl who will make fried eggs/omelettes to order. Fresh orange and tea or coffee are served by the extremely pleasant staff, and are topped up regularly. Food in the evening was varied, and most nights we chose not to have the main course, opting to return to the extensive buffet several times. Again, make sure you check out what is being cooked in the show kitchen (where the eggs are made at breakfast), as there was usually a joint and a stir fry dish on offer. Savvas, the Maitre d, is amazing and runs a very tight ship! He is constantly monitoring the situation, and keeps his very efficient staff on their toes.
For lunch, we would recommend a visit to Milos (just over the road from the A la carte restaurant)-Tim the owner has only recently opened his bar and nothing is too much trouble. His salads are fantastic, and the freshly caught seabass is to die for! We also swapped our evening meal for lunch one day, and had a lovely meal in Konstantin just across from the front of the hotel.
Mo Vida (again over the road) is a brilliant bar for cocktails and evening drinks (cheaper than drinks from the hotel bar!) The hotel supermarket in the basement sells everything you might need and is very competitive in price with the supermarket over the road.
The only negative is the lack of places to walk to nearby, but a bus into Lindos is only 1.6euros, and a taxi back is 9 euros. Its definitely worth a visit and there are hundreds of restaurants to choose from. Its also worth a trip into Rhodes town (5 euros on the bus-approx 1hr) as the old town is really beautiful.
