This is an outstanding hotel. We had a fantastic authentic Tuscan suite overlooking the courtyard. Reception staff were excellent giving us a tour before complimentary drinks, this standard of staff care was echoed by all staff, polite, friendly and exceptionally helpful. The grounds are beautiful with a very nice pool area serviced by the helpful staff meant we had a relaxing stay. Food was very good and well priced, everywhere was clean, well managed and stylish. The whole stay was nothing less than excellent, and though already said we really felt cared for by all the staff. Thank you.

We stayed for 3 nights at Borgo San Luigi in late September. Our room was very charming and rustic with a separate living area and peaceful, private Terrace that had plenty of seating and sun loungers, and looked over the large grassy court. It is an extremely tranquil and quiet place - didn't hear a sound at night and slept very well. We didn't swim in the pool but there were people sunbathing and enjoying that area during the day. Breakfast was good - classic continental choices with friendly service. We had lunch in the bar on our arrival day which served very good pasta. Our friends held a pre-wedding reception during the evening and the staff made it very special and lovely for all 75 guests. Well suited to those who are looking for an authentic and rustic Italian experience amongst a beautiful setting. Only issues were that no iron is available for the rooms - you have to pay for their ironing service and also means you need to plan when you might need something ironed as it's not a 24 hours service - and our kitchenette fridge didn't work so we weren't able to cool water we bought in the nearby town. No complimentary water is provided.

Back after ten years found a nice improvement the hotel has been expanded and now is really very nice.Room we stayed very comfortable overlooking the nature. Restaurant very interesting and large with room to breath. The pool really nice and the surrounding greats. You are in the middle of the country with medieval villages and cities around you.You are also in the middle of a Wine country not easy to find an equivalent if you enjoy not the big city’s.

We had a great visit. It had been 7 years since our last visit and the hotel had only gotten better. From making special accommodations, helping organize tours, excellent food and breakfasts. Staff are beyond nice and friendly.....

Having navigated the dirt track up to the resort we were greeted by an amazing tree-lined avenue leading up to a series of Tuscan style buildings. We were met with a very friendly welcome at reception by Bledar who showed us to our room and explained how everything worked at the resort. After that he took us down to the amazing pool-side bar area for a complimentary welcome drink as part of our introductions. Using the resort as a very convenient base for visiting Sienna, Perugia, Assisi, Montereggioni and San Gimignano, he also gave us some useful tips about parking and places to visit. The resort also offers free car parking throughout your stay. The towns of Colle di Val d'Elsa and Montereggioni are about a five/ten minute drive away and offer quite a few places to eat if you're not eating in the hotel itself.

The grounds of the resort are amazing and we made use of the pool each morning for a 7am swim before breakfast (even though a little chilly in September!). The rooms vary a lot but ours had a main room and lounge area where staff would open out a sofa bed each night to turn into the second room. We never bumped into the housekeeping staff but the rooms were always very clean and tidy each day. Breakfast was also a very selection, with hot and cold offerings including local meats along with a fresh juicing bar. Overall, would highly recommend this tranquil resort as a base for exploring Tuscany or just a relaxing time in the grounds itself.
