If you visit this area of Sardinia, don't miss eating at Su Meriagu. We had a delicious dinner in the walled garden. The restaurant style is reminiscent of Spanish architecture with unusual sculptures.
The food is memorable. Listen to the waiter! He recommended a sampling of appetizers, from prosciutto and dried sausage, homemade olives, a squash appetizer that was exceptional, and a delicate, smoky eggplant dish. I had read about pane frattau, the Sardinian flatbread baked like eggplant parmigiana with fresh tomato sauce and cheese with an egg on top only a few minutes before we left for the restaurant. It was out of this world! Then the waiter brought fresh pecorino with homemade fig marmalade. Wow!
The homemade bread was excellent, and we had plenty of the crispy flatbreads too.
We sampled wild boar, which was delicious, in a red wine reduction. My husband had the veal, also in a tasty reduction. This chef knows how to cook meat! The homemade pasta with sausage was in a delicious red sauce. Don't miss the culargiones! Big, pierogie like ravioli, filled with potato, ricotta, onion, and savory herbs.
We were happily stuffed, and there is no doubt we will return before we leave Sardinia!

We came to the hotel late at night (around 22:00) to sleep the night before our flight back. took us about 15 minutes to find any one in the check-in. When the woman came she didn't know English at all and it was very hard to communicate. We managed to communicate only because of a guess who came after us and was able to help us with translation.
Room was not so big but was OK for us.
the shower was somewhat small and the water didn't went down as quick as expected but we managed.
the balcony on the entrance is nice and so is on the first floor.
The elevator is very (very) slow and we used the stairs instead.
Breakfast was simple but OK.

Total stay there was OK although not amazing.
