We are back in England now but we visited José & Zilda again before we left in March we had another superb meal cooked to perfection.
We have always been treated as one of the family will miss not seeing them both until next January.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you.

We visited here on 29th March and its got to be one of the best authentic dining experiences we have had. Food was amazing as was the service and setting of this restaurant xx Its well worth a visit on your holiday and great value for money. Cannot recommend enough.

Took my Brother to this resturant as its our favourite he was very impressed.
We had monkfish in a spicy sauce with coconut rice, veg & salad. José & Zilda made us all very welcome it was quite buzy so we were pleased we booked in advance.
Looking forward to going back soon.
Thank you both.

Booked on a Saturday night - but needn't have as we were the only ones in!

Bit eerie really, but the place was warm-ish and Jose did his best to make us comfortable. Room is small but nicely decorated/illuminated; a nice quirky mix.

Limited menu choices and we chose a lamb tagine and boar (which came as a casserole with mash). Fulsome glasses of red to accompany.

A dessert was 'complimentary' as was a small glass of port and a coffee.

Bill c€60 including an €8 pp cover, so probably not so complimentary.

Food and service very good, but very difficult to judge when the place had no atmosphere on the night. Unfortunate, otherwise might have scored top marks.

Hi
We are back in villamoura again went to see José & zilda on Saturday & as usual were made very welcome. We were told there was no menu but he would do us the meal they had on new years eve.
We were given guinea fowl superbly cooked with onions, peppers, cranberries & pomegranate seeds served with vegetables.
We had never had guinea fowl before so we were both a bit unsure however we were delighted with his choice.
Looking forward to going again soon.
Keep up the good work thank you José & Zilda.
