The location was excellent. The apartment was spacious, very well appointed and spotlessly clean. We stayed on the sixth floor and didn't experience any noise whatsoever. Breakfast was good and the reception staff extremely helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to book this again for golf trips.

Room Tip: Choose a higher floor for a quieter stay

Brilliant hotel, we had a 3 bedroom apartment (only booked a 2 bedroom one) it was absolutely fantastic, spotless and clean, we even had a dishwasher. The balconies were huge and we had a sea and a marina view. Everything was on our doorstep, Marina was literally 100 metres away, the hotel itself had quite a few bars that were lively. We never had to wait for a lift and we even got a free breakfast, which consisted of cereal, bacon eggs beans tomatoes and toast, coffee and tea and fruit juice. If I visit Vilamoura again I will definatly stay here.

Room Tip: We were in room 809 which had huge balcony and was very quiet.

First of all the good bits

The location for Villamoura is excellent.walking distance to everywhere apart from golf. There is a large free car park next door. The rooms are enormous and very clean and the balcony overlooking the Marina is a great place to sit and watch the sunset.
The pool is very big and spotless with lots of sunloungers. Breakfast is a buffet and is very good with a variety of bread, fruit.cereal bacon, sausage eggs. Everything is spotless and the staff very helpful. We arrived early and it was no problem to check in before 4pm-(I've been charged £25 by Travel lodge to check in half an hour early in the UK)

The bad bits

The rooms are getting a bit dated. The shower is an old fixed head and was too high for my wife to shower with out getting her hair wet but not high enough for me to get under ( 6 foot tall)

Cooking facilites are a bit basic-2 rings and a microwave but the fridge is huge and brand new. There are no towels for beach or pool in fact there is a notice saying room towels are not allowed outside.
The balcony has 2 plastic chairs and a pretty old table.Inside the room there is a small tv that has about 8 channels none in English

The noisy

Enjoy the Marina view and sunset but do not expect to sleep!
There is a bar under the hotel which is open until 4am and has live music.
There is a constant barrage of noise from the drunken selfish idiots leaving the bar all night and who think it is hysterical to scream and shout while waking down the street

Its a difficult choice.Beautiful view and no sleep or crap view and some sleep.

Forget to be accomodated in this residence, specially on the first floor or you will never sleep : live music in a bar on the ground floor, discotheque until 5 am with bass sounds shaking walls and drunk people shouting all night long in the corridors.
If you want to have fun, be noisy and drunk, that is the right place as nobody will disturb you when you will annoy other customers

Been staying here for the last four years good central location but well past it's sell buy date.
Not 4 star prob 2 at best. Will stay somewhere else next year.

Breakfast is horrible so don't bother booking b&b go to a restaurant to eat.
