Blue canvas offers a very exciting experience of the mountains. Very different from the regular, 'Commercialised' hill stations. The camping experience is very satisfying. they have a game room which is fun & a great way to acquaint yourself with fellow campers. But the best thing about it is the staff. They're really warm and personal. They organise cultural shows in the evenings. and the best part is the trek that they arrange. Felt great to push my body up a mountain. and then dive into a narrow cave where light has never touched.

This place is amazing and the hospitality tops it all. The staff is very welcoming and very humble. They do not even count your rounds of teas or maggi or snacks, they just serve you whenever you ask without any additional cost. The best part was they took us hiking and they even got lunch packet with them for us and served us real nice food up there in the valleys.

This resort is outside chakrata village before the army cant. Tents are clean but are old. The resort has indoor pool table, volleyball n carrom. It is suggested to stay here in groups for safety. Tents are built on Hill terrain which adds to the beauty of the resort. Resort manager was very decent guy n we also got the guide from here to see Tiger fall and silva hills.

I visited this place along with 31 biker friends of mine which included couple of families as well. Its a beautiful camping site at a serene location on the hills, ample of parking space where in atleast 6 cars can be parked along with 20 bikes.
Camps are beautifully built with good bedding facilities and best part is washrooms are very well setup with tiles on the base. Camps are located in different sections of the camping site and bonfire can be arranged exclusively for all sections. They have a rooftop restaurant which is right next to the main hill road so can get dusty at times.
Coming to the food, good in taste and menu is good too. You will not feel the requirement for more spices or less spices, adequate spices along with good presentations.
Few things where I feel this place lacks,
1. For Bonfire they didn't have enough number of chairs to accommodate our Group of 32 people.
2. Cold Drinks were not available in the camps even on Paid Basis.
3. During bonfire they served us tap water that too wasn't cold, on asking that atleast give cold water for drinks as you don't have Ice cubes, the owner was rude to say that we only have this.
4. There were quite a number of Mosquitoes & Insects in the rooms which was understandable as its a Forest range but with families coming to visit they could at least have sprayed insect killers in the camps but nothing was done.

This property is some 20kms before the Chakrata town,we stayed here on the our way our Bike ride to Chanshal pass, this is some 350kms from Delhi. These are swiss camps with attached washrooms facing the valley on one side,Camps and Washrooms are neat and clean.
They provide camps on A.P plan(all meals including),they do have a indoor restaurant on the entry of Camp premises itself, food is homely and tasty.
Indoor parking is also available, they also have a games room like Billiards and T.T.
Best place to stay if you are visiting Chakrata.
