Camden Arms was not only excellent, it exceeded our expectations. Every aspect of the hotel was exceptional: Staff; room; food; cleanliness. It was a pleasure to stay there. We will stay there again. I had finished our review but I noticed that the review must have200 characters, hence this bit of padding. I could pad the review out further by writing EXCELLENT however many times it is needed

Rooms good, clean, comfortable, food was ok- pub grub, reasonable prices. Breakfast was nice, we all had a full English- no offer of refill on the teas and coffees, chef was quite rude when I asked him for a refill. Staff just could be warmer and more welcoming, something just missing with their customer care.
Excellent friendly and comfortable family-run hotel with quiet room, very good food and a pleasant old-fashioned feel to the bar/restaurant. Highly recommended. Well located, easy parking, and good value. There are lots of interesting places such as Ightham Mote (N.T.) to visit nearby.
We were 17 people on a combined garden and wine trip and stayed at the Camden Arms from 08.05.24 - 13.05.24.
- The rooms: These were in a very quiet location overlooking the garden and excellently equipped. There was a trouser press, an ironing board with iron, a coffee machine etc. There is nothing to complain about.
- Breakfast: Nothing was left to be desired here, the selection is huge and everything was delicious!
- Dinner: We ate there all but one evening and were overwhelmed by the quality and richness of the food. I had imagined a simple pub meal to be something different and was absolutely surprised at how good the food was. Only the wine list could be revised, a few higher-quality wines would have gone better with the good food.
- The service: This was the highlight - I have rarely experienced such good and attentive service. And even if something didn't work out, it was resolved in the customer's favour! That's how it should be!
Conclusion: The Camden Arms can only be warmly recommended and is the perfect base for a trip to the south of England!
This was a last minute booking and we was so pleased with our choice of staying here. We was greeted by the very welcoming friendly owner. It was a very friendly family run hotel and every member of staff made us feel very welcome. The bed was very comfortable. The cooked breakfast was packed full of flavour which we both thoroughly enjoyed. We would one hundred percent return back to this hotel.
