We had a couple of days to pass in the Yukon before flying out into the wilderness. We'd overnighted in Vancouver before flying into Whitehorse to pick up a car and take our time driving over to Haines Junction and then onto the Lodge. Stayed in the Mount Vancouver room. We arrived tired and jet-lagged, not sure where we were going to get dinner, so the surprise that we could have dinner there, and then the quality of dinner was just great. After a sociable, and excellent, breakfast we headed out for a day touring the area and were then back to enjoy a second great and sociable dinner along with other guests. I left quite disappointed that we hadn't had time or need to stay longer!
Very dog friendly, with very well behaved and friendly dogs of their own. I had a soft-spot for 'Go-away', that was his name, which reflected his friendly nature!
Our room had been recently refurbished, was warm, clean and had everything we needed. You have to be realistic, if you are travelling in the Yukon then you are a long way from big cities and it's not like a city presentation, but then you are in the Yukon and not a city to enjoy the wilderness, and Mount Logan is true luxury for a wilderness. There were plenty of sockets for charging cameras, phones and laptops which is what you need when travelling and wifi was a great bonus.
Sitting out the back with a beer and a view of the mountains after a days driving, or walking, with people like Roxanne and David, who are obviously working so hard to make it a great experience, couldn't have been in a better place.
