Went to this restaurant for Easter Monday with a group of 4 adults and 3 kids. The menu was fixed and they offered both adult and kid menus. Usually we avoid going out to eat on holidays as we know that restaurants are packed and quality is not always good but we were surprised at the high standard food they offered and at how well they were organized: instead of the typical "no can do" attitude which is the norm on busy days, the waiter allowed us to change one adult menu to vegetarian, which was greatly appreciated. Furthermore, the waiter never let us out of sight, always coming around to ask if we had all we needed- this extra attention is also uncommon in the lazio area on busy days like weekends, never mind the holidays... We also enjoyed the entertainment the staff had planned for the kids: since the weather is not usually very stable over the Easter holidays, the staff had planned both indoor activities and outdoor ones (physical and sit down). And their range of activities included not just the usual face painting and balloon sculptures, but also egg painting, musical chairs, tug of war where the parents could also join in, egg hunt, etc. The entertainment staff also came around the tables to let us know when a new activity was about to start so that the kids could decide if they wanted to join in or skip. Also, when the staff realized that some children preferred playing at the playground, one member of the entertainment staff stayed there to help the kids on and off the slide... It might sound like a no big deal, but it is this little attention to detail that made all the difference for us. Overall, it was a great experience, it never felt crowded, and it never got boring. If there is anything i would improve, it would be the optional pony ride: 5 euro for taking the pony twice around the round pen, no adjustment of the saddle, no balancing activites while on the horse, etc. It is the only part of this great day that actually felt very "commercial". Well done La Melazza, look forward to celebrating the next holidays with you again!
