“What A Terrific Spot!”
Reviewed October 2, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Snuggle into the beyond quaint Cooga Cottage where your every need is anticipated—down to a neatly placed sewing kit on the kitchen ledge. Enjoy the countryside setting, garden still blooming all around even in late September and the lovely cottage with everything you could ever need—it is a treat! We so enjoyed our time there and appreciated our host, Tom Keogh, so much and his attention to our every need. The entire experience was just grand! Randy and Carmen from North Carolina

“Magical”
Reviewed August 4, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

we stayed in our favorite Irish cottage for the third time! Wouldn't think of staying any place else. The cottage is warm comfortable and inviting. You want for nothing when you stay here, besides the comfortable beds the gardens give you the serene quiet peaceful feeling it always welcomes you home after a busy day sight seeing. It's also centrally located to so many destinations it makes travel a pleasure. Tom has thought of everything to make you feel welcomed with open arms. Thank you thank you thank you. “All the comforts of home”
Reviewed April 18, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Cooga Cottage is a very pretty traditional Irish cottage, with all the comforts of home. The cottage is very easy to find, just 20 mins from the M7. This was our 5th stay at the cottage and it is always our first choice as a place to stay. Tom has thought of everything that you need from kitchen equipment to maps and guides, even wi-fi. There is a beautiful garden to enjoy on fine days. We are looking forward to our next visit.

“Cosy Traditional Cottage”
Reviewed August 27, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Cooga Cottage is a very pretty traditional cottage. The furnishings were fairly comfortable and well laid out. The Kitchen had more than enough equipment to cover every culinary requirement. We only used the double bedroom on the ground floor, the bed was very comfortable, my only suggestion would be a lighter weight duvet for the summer months. The garden was truly beautiful with plenty of seating to relax with a glass of wine on a warm evening.

The village of Doon has plenty of small shops for purchases of Bread/Newspapers/Milk etc. There are a number of pubs but not much in the way of traditional music. We had a few meals at Preachers Restaurant, this place is a jewel in the crown. The standard of food is superb, Sunday lunch @ €25.00 for 4 courses. Noel Keane is the Head Chef, I can highly recommend his Risotto.

We found the location good for both sightseeing and visiting family as it is close to the N24. We visited Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, which were both amazing.

Tom is a generous host, he is helpful without being intrusive which is just as it should be.

“A truly idyllic cottage set in fantastic grounds”
Reviewed July 13, 2013 for a stay in July 2013

The cottage was easy to find with Tom's directions. We were met by Tom with the keys, and he showed us around the cottage. He had thought of everything to make our stay perfect, right down to the milk in the fridge for a nice cup of tea!
The photos do not do the cottage justice, it was better than imagined. Everything had been thought of, hair drivers, shopping bags, towels, guide books, every kitchen gadget you could possibly need and much much more. The well maintained garden was a fantastic place to sit at any time of the day, especially at the end of the day to relax.
The cottage was immaculate and in a fantastic place to use as a base to tour Ireland with easy access to most routes.
We had a fantastic stay, with hotter than average temperatures, but the warm welcome and Tom's friendliness, has made this a place we would definitely want to return to.
