We tried four restaurants for dinner around Radda in Chianti and this was by far the best. While a bit out of town, it is clearly signposted from the road but there is a rough unmade road (if you can call it that) of about half a mile to the restaurant. Do not be put off, because the restaurant is spacious and attractive, our hostess was charming and spoke excellent English, and the house red wine and food were excellent. The antipasta plate had a wonderful selection of salami and local smoked ham; the eggplant parmagiano and the chicken stew were standout dishes. We had tiramisu for sweets and while it did not resemble my memory of this famous dessert it was a delicious confection.
