Our visits to La Penisola have taken place each summer for at least 20 years. The house is a simple two story dwelling with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. It is comfortable, attractive, and has an outstanding view of a forested valley with vineyards. The swimming pool is large, well tended, and deliciously cool after a hot day's journey around the area of Radda.
Nora Kravis, a licensed veterinarian, raises cashmere goats, some of whom live adjacent to the rental property. The goats are beautiful and fun to watch. Nora also has several very large dogs who tend the goats, only adding to the attraction of the place!
We have brought family members and friends to this treasure. We plan on returning over and over!

I needed a break from our day to day life. Rush here, rush there, hurry hurry hurry. When we arrived at the entrance to the Chianti Cashmere Goat Farm, we turned down the road and entered a different time and space. We became one with nature. There were deers to lead us to the house!!!
We then met the owner, Nora who is a dynamo. Always on the go.
The house is surrounded by beauty, the goats are amazing (goat therapy is the best thing for a tired soul), the dogs are lovely and the idea of staying on a property that does so much for nature and animals made every day perfect.
The house is wonderful, spacious with phenomenal views.
The pool was amazing and just for us!
Come and visit, you will not regret it!

I have returned seven years in a row to Nora's magical farm. The views of the Volpaia valley from the beautiful terrace are breath-taking. The stone farmhouse is comfortable, very private and equipped with all the basics you will need for your stay. The showstopper is the beauty of the valley. Awake to the sound of songbirds and softly bleating goats. Enjoy a meal at the outdoor dining table while the sun sets over the valley. Bliss. It is a peaceful, quiet and truly lovely place. Nora is an extraordinary host and an invaluable resource about the Chianti region and it's many attractions. She is always there if you need her but does not intrude. Don't miss the opportunity to dabble in goat farming for a true slice of life at La Penisola! Ciao Nora and see you next year!

This is not Chiantishire or TuscanyWorld. This is a beautiful working farm near Radda, between Siena and Firenze, where the views are beautiful, the pool is lovely, the owner is terrific, and the animals are wonderful. Nora works hard to make your visit comfortable and interesting. A magical place. Don't miss it!
I have stayed with Nora and the "kids" many times on this rustic, peaceful goat farm in the most beautiful valley in Chianti. The farm is located just outside the ancient hill top village of Radda in Chianti. This is a great spot to stay because it's so easy to drive on daily adventures into the heart of Tuscany. It's a safe, quiet place - plus you can purchase any number of gorgeous cashmere products - thanks to the lovely herd of goats who produce the wool. the views are fantastic - the pool and porch are situated to give amazing views while relaxing. Nora is great fun - she has the best stories! Don't pass up the chance to experience what authentic farm life is all about. I plan to return here as often as possible.

Nora's idyllic farm is the epitome of Tuscan living. Gorgeous cashmere goats (yes, where sweaters come from!) roam the hillsides. The little garden supplies fresh vegetables that only match Nora's rustic and incredibly delicious cooking. The accommodations are private and full of little treats -- a well-stocked English library, herbs and fun ingredients to try, comfy beds with loads of comforters if it should be chilly (which it was in November!). And you MUST have a car so you can spend a day or two exploring nearby Siena and Florence, other little towns in the area, or simply head into Radda for your morning cappuccino. Oh, I miss it all so much. Lucky you!
