Review of La Braserade

La Braserade

Right in the middle of the small village of Banon you will find this restaurant that serves homemade meals. This night they had lasagna with the local goat cheese, which was very good. But the pizzas are fabulous here, so you should try that: thin, crispy with a marvellous tomato sauce directly from the wood oven. Among the desserts the café gourmand is good, but was better before. Attentive service. And really good coffee!

Went there on a tuesday at lunch, it was almost full and we were seated on the terrasse near the village fountain , right next to the "marche" stands.
Seeing the waiter fill a jar with the water from the fountain and put it on our table
convinced us to order a bottle of mineral water (though a sign on the fountain says "eau potable", "drinkable water")
Pizzas were huge and a little bit too salty for us (the one from the kid's menu may be big enough for an adult), but the surroundings definitely made it a very enjoyable lunch.

A nice little place to visit but too small to handle big groups of people. There were 6 of us and all of us ordered pizzas. We got them one by one with 10 minutes between every single dish. Too small an oven to handle results in people waiting too long i guess. The service was average with no special treatment.

Had a really amazing pizza here. Paper thin and crispy with lovely tomato sauce - la royal, cheese, with ham and mushroom. All pizzas wood fired. Around 9 euros each.
