The Town House has a good selection of books on the history of the area, some of which are for sale. A selection of other items of local interest are also for sale, such as postcards, cards, etc. Local history and natural history articles are available for study. The staff are able to help with history enquiries and with family research.

Exhibitions are regularly held on local topics, such as the schools of the district, sports and recreation, etc. The Eglinton Room is available for hire through the Beith Cultural and Historical Society who run the museum. The centre has limited opening times at present.

The centre is a central part of local events such as the 'Lights & Laughter' night at Christmas and the Saint Inan's Day celebrations.
