We went with family and the very varied menu meant that there was something to suit everyone. The meals were very well cooked and presented. Our meal was leisurely and the staff left us to enjoy the meal. The puddings were very rich but very enjoyable. We will go again.

We stayed and had both visited for the tearoom and restaurant. Price of the good is good (not cheap or expensive), a good range on the menu and the evening restaurant food was extremely nice and good size portions. Too good that I couldn’t finish the desserts. All home cooked and staff are very friendly. If in the area, I would recommend a visit

We have visited a number of times in the past and we have always had excellent food and service. Today was no exception, as expected it was full for Mother’s Day but the service and food was of the same high standard. My younger daughter is a vegan and we call in advance and the chef makes a vegan shepherd’s pie for her. My wife also loves the vegetarian nut roast. The rest of us had the roast beef. All 5 of us really enjoyed our meals. Very friendly staff. We will be back !

Sat in the gorgeous conservatory and ordered a cheese baguette with salad and coleslaw. When it arrived it was more like a crusty roll. There was plenty of cheese but I was expecting a long baguette that's why I ordered it. The salad was very small more of a garnish and the coleslaw although lovely was only literally a teaspoon. For £6.50 it could have been much better. The male waiter was excellent and a credit to the place. Also had a scone which was nice but very small.
