Conveniently positioned near train/bus/taxi stations and shops and only about 45km from city and 20 km from parra and Blacktown, easy access. Nice rooms, the room we booked had a spa inside the bedroom.

Stayed: August 2016, travelled as a couple

You probably wouldn't stay at the Novotel Rooty Hill if you were on holiday; it's a businessman or worker's hotel.

For starters, it's a long way from the CBD with a lot of industry around. It is connected to the Rooty Hill RSL so that may be another reason to stay if you're into that sort of thing.

The rooms are large and well appointed; the bathroom was adequate and the shower was impressively large.

The reception is small and the receptionists seem to act as telephone operators as well so the conversations can be loud at times. There is a good shuttle bus which will take you places and is very punctual.

The restaurant is not bad with the kind of service one would expect in the suburbs but the desserts are terrible - avoid them if you can. (Pineapple on bread? What's that about?)

Stayed here 3 nights for work. Very nice staff. Got nice box of favourites chocs for my 50th birthday from the hotel which was a lovely surprise. Nice dinners and breakfast. One lift not working which caused delays but I'm sure its fixed now. Would recommend if you work in this area.

I have had about 16 stays at the hotel over the last 12 months. Some of them up to 2 weeks at a time. But my last stay has been my final stay and am totally discussed with the lies from the stafff. My advice is to stay well clear joint when you find that you are lie to after spending thousands in a place what do you think they might do to people staying once in a blue moon. I was from my suite With a excuses they where fully booked my PA rang up looking for a suite she could get one. The second room was dirty had to get bed sheets removed only can imagine what was on them.

This hotel should be rated at about 2 stars no mini bar reason for this is to force people to rooty hill club so you may gamble and the group makes more from you even free membershift. Menu has no choice so after a couple of days eat out.

Staff will walk in to your room in the morning to clean not the first time I have walked out of the shower naked and cleaners in room. My second key was taken from the room by the cleaner and came back to a freezing room.

No views from any room and their suites $340 a night not worth it they are big but no views and lounges not great. My Advice stay clear

Room Tip: Floor 6 is quite if you want a balcony dig deep windows don't open so no fresh air
