As an events manager who books venues for wine clubs I wondered in today to have a coffee and check out the new willow creek for potential bookings. The person at the front desk showed us to our seat outside but before we sat down my husband said excitedly to have a look at a terrace close to the outside eating area as the view was amazing. We wondered over only to have the front desk person run after us calling out that we are not allowed in that area, its for hotel guests only. Her manner so was rude one would have thought we had stolen something from the restaurant!! We felt humiliated as everyone looked from the restaurant. She event escorted us out the side gate that was roped off. We felt like a couple of naughty school kids caught smoking!! Ridiculous. We didn't see the sign when we went in so we are very sorry for that Willow creek but maybe hire people who have bit more diplomacy to their manner. This girl doesn't do you any favours and suffice to say you wont be getting any wine bookings from me in the future.

This is the second time we have dined at RH and each experience has been full of fresh and high quality produce, great wine selection and a positive and friendly atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back again!

We went with a work group of 14 .. fantastic service and the food is amazing .. we had a set menu which was 65 per person and was fantastic value for money .. lots of food so nobody went hungry .. and it was at a good pace .. we arrived at 12 and dint leave until about 5.30 ... drinks were a reasonable price for this type of venue and can highly recommend the pims cocktail ... we were all impressed with the decor and the beautiful view of the vineyards ... there is a hotel attached to this place too if you wanted to stay .. we had a drink in the bar area too which had a good feel.. great day out

After surprisingly being accepted for a table for 2, as they don't normally take bookings except for groups. We were impressed on arrival by the the new hotel and associated buildings. But shocked by the Rare Hare bistro as I thought we had returned to a mainland Chinese community food house. Long bench tables for up to 20 people on benches either side of the table, where you are sat ostensibly on 2 person backless stools. Atmosphere was cool and very noisy. We were placed in the centre of a long bench facing each other, with a group of 5 girls at one end and vacant space at the other end. The girls were well into a very lubricated and noisy dinner and we were soon were joined by a family group of 5 at the other end. They were also very engaged with each other, so our privacy totally disappeared. We could not talk to each other, as the bench was fairly wide, to allow them to place the food we had ordered and we had to compete with noise on either side of us.
We ordered our tapas style food and upon it's arrival were very pleasantly surprised by it's innovation, quality of ingredients and excellent presentation. It was delicious, as was the accompanying local Rose wine. This was followed by a beautiful baked butter dessert, among others. Absolutely superb!!! The waitress service was also of high quality, considering the trouble she went to, having to go round the end of the bench table, to serve both my wife and myself each time our wine was topped up etc. We highly recommend the food and the service, but will not go back again as the noise, the stark cool atmosphere and the lack of privacy, completely spoiled the evening. I feel very sorry for the excellent Chef and his team, as he has great talent and they produce great meals at amazing value for money. What they do deserves a better environment than the one they are working in at the moment.
