We had been in the area for a couple days but never near the river when the tide was coming in, so we were a little skeptical of this tidal bore rafting concept, haha. It surpassed our expectations. It was fun but also really interesting and cool how the tide creates these waves. They had the timing down perfectly and were well in control of the boats. Our boat driver was very nice. Also had fun doing the mud sliding (it was funny how the adults were more into it than the teens in our boat). The four hour tour was a little long as it's a lot of bumping around. It was also a overcast and a little cooler, so 4 hrs probably would have been perfect if it were warmer!

We did this trip for as part of a significant birthday. What a great time. Tim was our guide and did a fantastic job of finding some great waves for us. We were one of the last boats on and Tim did a drive by the viewing platform so some family members for others on the boat could get pictures.

The mud sliding portion was really fun. I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but am super glad that we did it! Expect to find clay and slit everywhere even after rinsing and showering.

Highly recommend this as a trip to do something different and enjoy what nature has to offer. We saw at least five bald eagles while we were on our trip. One took particular interest in us and followed over us for a minute or so.

Get muddy and wet and have fun!

My daughter and I recently visited Nova Scotia and spent the day with Fundy Tidal Bore Adventures.

The booking was very easy and we recived all the necessary emails with confirmation and reminders. The website was very detialed as to what to expect, what to pack and when to arrive.

Check in was very easy with lots of parking. Ample time to prepare before our 4 hour trip. We were then introced to our guides and given soem final details and sent on our way.

Our guide was Haleigh and she was amazing. She introcueded herself and asked us about our tirip and what we were looking to do during the rafting trip. She covered all the saftey topics and got us out on the river. The scenery on the way out was beautiful and we saw a lot of Eagles. We then went to the slide area and had so much fun. Do pack clotes that you wont mind throwing away when the trip is over. We spent aroudn 20 minutes playing in the mud and everyone had so much fun. Got washed off and back into the boats and headed to see the bore.

The waves came up quick and big and Haleigh made sure we hit every single one. I have been white water rafting several times and this was far better than those trips. The waves are big and having a Zodiac with a motor allows you do do the rapids/waves several times before mving onto the next section up the river as the tide comes in.

We did the 4 hour trip and got to do both sections comapred to the 2 hour trip. After we were done we docked back at where we started. The building has nice hot showers which is a must to get all the mud, dirt and salt off. I just threw my clothes away.

I highly reccomend Fundy Tidal Bore and the only negative is I wish they had a stoe on site as I woudl have loved to purchase my daughter and I either a shirt of a hat.

Great tour comapny and 5 stars to Haleigh.

Fantastic good fun. Everything about our two hour trip was great. Captain Morgan was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour that made the trip even more fun. Would highly recommend, we plan on doing the four hour trip out next time in NS.

What a fantastic opportunity to experience the tide as it comes in. Our guide, Kim, was so great! Her knowledge of the tidal bore phenomenon and her stories about growing up on the shores of the "Shube" river really made it even better. When we were heading out, we had no idea what to expect, so when the rapids came as a result of the incoming tide, we were all fascinated. We went in mid-August, so the water was warm, however, borrow one of their rain jackets to help from getting too cold, but do be forewarned, you WILL get wet! That's part of the fun. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty in, becuase the tour also include the mudsliding. Originally, we didn't want to to do this, but the "mud" is unlike other mud - it's more claylike, so it's super soft and slippery! Also, there are warm showers available post ride. Do bring a change of clothes and some shampoo and soap for the showers. If you want footage of your ride, opt to get the Go Pro. So glad we did. And if you do plan on bringing your phone, be sure to have waterproof protection and make sure it's tied to you because things go flying! Hard to imaging rapids created by an incoming tide, but the sandbars make it all possible. I would do this again in a flash. 5 stars + from our family!!!
