Unfortunately, I was mislead to staying in this place by previous reviewers. I spent two weeks here and it was just horrible. I highly suggest that divers who care about the marine environment and their own safety do not stay here. The divemaster was absolutely terrible, incredibly rude, throwing cigarette butts to the sea and even handling corals and marine life in a marine sanctuary.

The rooms here are just terrible as well. The walls are made of rotting bamboo and the business is only a few meters away from the national highway, so you hear buses and trucks flying by, horns honking all night long. What is more, squatters live against the back wall of the resort and keep roosters, which crow loudly at all hours. Due to the bamboo walls, they sound like they are literally in bed with you. It was absolutely impossible to get a good night's sleep here.

We spent two days at the Leyte Dive Resort while visiting friends in the south of the island. While we didn't scuba dive here the resort has a full service operation with boat.

The resort has four rooms and we stayed in #2. The room was nice sized with a queen sized bed. There was a small tv and couched sitting area. A large standing closet allowed for closes hanging. This room has aircon and an out of the bathroom sink. The bathroom is western and shower room has hot water.

The resort has a small restaurant with full service. The food is excellent as well. The menu is large.

The patio area is nice with lounge chairs and shade. Very nice place to catch some rays and listen to the ocean. The beach is a few steps away. The beach is a mix of small rock and sand.

Service is very good all around. I really like the cozy feel of this place. I could just waste a few weeks relaxing here. The breezes are perfect and the water inviting; come join the fun!!

We have now been in Phillipines one month and Leyte Dive resort has been the best resort where we have stayed. First we stayed 4 nights, second time 3 nights. Wanted to go back there because the place and the people are so great! And not yet so much tourists in Leyte, so if you wan't experience real phillippino living, go there! Recomend that you take a scooter from the resort and go experience waterfalls, cave, local lifestyle and the very beautiful Beach.

And if you wan't to do snorkling or diving, this is the place to go! Corals are so beautiful, turtles, whaleshark and so on... Lot more worth for the money, that what we had in Malapascua, Bohol or Siquijor (and all the other places was great too)!

Divemaster Virgilio knows no manners dealing with customers and the ocean. Btw, this guys is so proud that he didn't read the book when he got certified. He half turned my tank and when I fully open it, he half turned it again. So I said, that shouldn't be done that way, I just did my divemaster. But for my safety, I fully turned on my valve in front of him. Likewise, he told me that he doesn't like backplate like what I have because it has no exaust valve. He smokes in front of me and my fiancé face, throws cigarette butts to the ocean and calls the dive ahead of customers. He simply contradicts whatever I said too. So the 10 days diveplan becomes 1 dive right away for me. Thanks to the owner who didn't attend to our complaints, because of his mismanagement, my fiancé and I discovered other places to eat and stay for the next Sogod vacation.

Rooms are fully equipped with neighbor's roosters too and because it's beside the national road, you'll hear the cars passing by 24/7 Walls are cheaply built so if you want a vacation consider these things.

Restaurant menu is a product of copy-paste-way from the other restaurant but the quality of the food is not fully copied.
