Quite by chance we found this wonderful Chambres d'hote perched high above Pourville. There are MANY steps to climb and the house is located off the road.Anne the owner was exceedingly helpful with directions and suggestions for parking. Our room was recently refurbished with an en suite shower and spotlessly clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony made every step climbed well worth it,as it afforded a great view of the coast. We stayed out of season ,with our small dog, and unfortunately only for one night. Anne recommended the Brasserie, Les Regates, on the seafront and we were delighted to get a table as it was busy with everyone watching the sunset and enjoying the fish based menu.
Breakfast was superb! Homemade preserves (Anne's mum) to be consumed with bread and croissants that Anne's husband had been despatched to buy , cheeses, meats and a whole range of freshly made beverages and fruit juices. We dallied over breakfast for an hour chatting with our host.
We had no time to explore the area but will definitely make a return visit to explore more and cannot think of a better place to stay.More
