A wonderful 3 hour cruise from Darling Harbour to Shark Island. Excellent Bar-B-Que lunch served with lots of salad. The Prawn and Oyster options were also very nice. You get about an hour to wander around or swim/snorkel. Plenty of shade and places to sit and enjoy the spectacular views of Sydney Harbour. Excellent - I highly recommend this cruise.

We boarded the Sea Princess in Sydney for a 10 night cruise along the coast of Australia. It covered Cairns, Brisbane, Airlie Beach, Port Douglas before returning to Sydney.. Some sightseeing included the Great Barrier Reef, Steve Irwins Australian Zoo and a Rain Forest.

We sailed on the Sea Princess for 2 nights Brisbane to Sydney. Never sailed before and we went to see if we liked cruising. NEVER AGAIN.
We booked Club Class and a Mini Suite mid ship.
Well don’t be fooled even in good weather the ship does have some roll. The room also creaked and groaned like bad floorboards in a ghost house all night = very very little sleep.
Bed was also a shocker despite claims.
Supposedly Club Class gives you all the priority extra.pfffftt the crew don’t even know who is who. I was greeted at lunch with ‘excuse me you need to join the queue that is only for Club Class. Must have been the daggy jeans torn shirt and no bath for a month that gave me away!!!!!!
You arrive at the tin shed at Brisbane and have to fill in a Health Questionaire, then you line up at a long desk like pigs at a trough.....not a good look.
Then once on the boat the only dining option for lunch is the buffet. Just don’t OK, the fact it has wash basins as you enter the food area + anti bac gel everywhere puts you on high alert, and the food is blahhh.
Go outside to the bar near the pool they have those hot pies in cellophane bags - a far more pleasing option!!!!
The boat also had an unpleasant old people home smell about it when we boarded - maybe the carpet shampoo??
If you’ve booked anything onboard for some insane reason you have to re-confirm once onboard - I thought that got left with the Ark and American Airlines - needless to say our booked special breakfast on our balcony didn’t arrive.....
Oh and if you like to dine with 12 other strangers every meal you’ll love it, but if you like peace and quiet by yourselves then you are strange like us and are frowned at. Oh and even when you cruise confirmation says ‘dinner confirmed for 7.45’ as we had booked for each night at a table for 2 - that means zip, and usually means a long wait whilst 4 waiters try to work out what to do.
Food was OK but some barramundi served tasted ore like old flake. And the beef looked like it had been carved straight from Bambi’s bum!
The staff honestly have been on the boat far too long - most are like the living dead - uniform neatly pressed but don’t ask a question as the balls aren’t all in the air.....you won’t get a reasonable answer just diversion.
So be warned, the Sea Princess may be for some, but not for us and possibly many like us.

Princes cruuse lunes completely botched our vacation. Except for the on land portion with Matt this was a complete disaster from 2 hours before we left home. In short princess stole 4 day of our 25 day trip. 12 crappy day on board the diamond princess that felt like i re-enlisted in the navy. This boat was not very well maintained! You should re name the spa to out of order!. Ok princess canceled our flight s 2 days before the trip, it took hours to rebook. we planned an overnight at the hilton in ackland but ended up stranded in a crappy airport hotel in south san franscio. When we got to ackland aftwr being up 2 days we had to wait 7 hours for the ship. The cruise made 2 ports in 12 days. They offered us a 15 % refund off a furture cruise and 100$ but that does not make up for thid disaster. I feel like i had 4 vacation days stolen, failure to provide services or theft of services us a good description. On board the ship the pandering to the Asian market made me feel like a second rate guest, the grand finalle of thus mess is ending at the hyatt in Sydney harbor in a very tiny room with a view of a rusty commercial air conditioning unit and a building 50 feet away. Im walking in my suitcases and there are no modern electronic connections at least the internet worked to warn others. This was the worst vacation ever and its still not over Omg ...was this Princes first time doing this? Cant wait until this night mare ends!!!
