It was a classy experience at the Hilton from the time of being dropped off in the taxi which had come from then Airport. We were upgraded to a room on the very top floor and while waiting for it to be completely serviced we could enjoy a very nice wine each at the handy Lobby Bar. Staff were helpful assisting us with luggage both into and out of the hotel as well as lending umbrellas to fend off the frequent Sydney winter showers.

Room tip: The top floor is very special in terms of views and room facilities.

The Hilton Sydney is well-located in the CBD and to major attractions. The rooms are a little small, and the area is currently a little hard to navigate due to the construction of Sydney's light rail service along George St.

Valet parking, the bell service and check-in are all very friendly and efficient.

The elevator noise near our originally allocated room made us immediately seek an alternative, and this was quickly provided. In my experience, Hilton rooms tend to have a high level of "white" noise, and as long as you're ok with this, they're very relaxing. The bed was comfortable although the pillows a little soft (alternatives are available).

We enjoyed a glass of wine in the Glass Brasserie, which offered a very wide selection. Good service.

My only concern was the hotel internet service, which was the slowest I've experienced in a long time. I understand about contention, but the Hilton's service was really slow.

Recommended.

Great location in the CBD. Close to the main shopping centers in Sydney CBD. Rooms are on the small side but adequate if you are traveling on your own. Probably a hotel more suited for business trips . Bathroom is also a bit tight . Separate shower and bath which takes up a lot of space and leaves little space for sink. A lot of other hotel choices to consider in Sydney for the same price points.

Quite a nice place but well overpriced for what you get. Average sized rooms, expensive breakfasts, no free wifi (prices start from $15 per day). Rooms and clean and modern, comfortable beds and quiet rooms.
