This good value, small, family run hotel is situated perfectly for exploring Sydney. Kings Cross Station is close by and most tourist spots are within walking distance. It is a bit like a B&B with friendly owners and a stand out home cooked breakfast. We stay here regularly and always enjoy our time in Sydney.

For the price this is a great choice. Small , quiet hotel above a cafe. Great value for money. Our room, 3, was clean with a huge comfy bed, good linen and everything you need. Quite a small room with a tiny en suite. My only issues were a low powered shower whose head fell down constantly and , although the bins were emptied ,bed was not made or towels changed. To be honest, after day one we were fine with this and did not bother the owners who also ran the cafe downstairs ( great coffee). Close to the excellent area of Kings Cross full of bars, cafes, and restaurants. 200 m from the tube which gets you round the city cheaply and quickly. Took 20 mins to get down to central quay and The Rocks.

This hotel is probably the best value for money hotel in Sidney. The rooms are clean, sufficient and air-conditioned. George is a great host and the included breakfast is perfect. The location of the hotel is where the true value lies. Seconds away from the metro station, walking distance to the city centre and also just two stops away from Bondi Beach!

One will not easily find a better price in a better location.

If you’re not looking for the fanciest room in Sydney but rather looking to see the city and have a comfortable place to sleep, this is it!

Friendly staff but very basic no frills accommodation. More like a B&B than a hotel. Steep stairs. Our room was dark and depressing. I couldn’t relax there. Good location though with nice coffee in the cafe downstairs. A variety of good places to eat & drink close by. Ok for cheap & very short stay and you only want somewhere to put your luggage and intend to spend all of your time out & about.

Hotel 59 is situated close to Kings Cross metro station and is in a convenient location near the center even easy to walk. The owner Kathy advised us to purchase Opal travel cards, which was an effective way to explore the city and easily come back. The café attached to the hotel is very good and we enjoyed breakfast each morning with a very good cappuccino and served with a smile. The room number 2 is big enough for 3 persons with a lot of plugs for recharge, an airconditionning working well, the bathroom was renovated but the fan is a bit noisy. The small kitchen would gain to have few plates and utensils for eating for delivery or pick up meals. The room is very clean and well maintained.

Dear Normand Q

Nice to read that you had a great time at hotel 59 and our location was great for you to explore our beautiful city just as well you used our advice and purchased opal cards its a great affordable option, I strongly recommend it should be the first thing you buy on arrival you can get them at airport.
Due to past problems we no longer supply kitchen plates or utensils, most take way places supply these things and we also have a supermarket close to us that sell take away plates and utensils.

regards
kathy
