So much to see and do. A great place for families with school age kids.
The space is huge and feels very spacious even with lots of people.
Loved the steam engine demonstration, EcoLogic and Experimentations.
Nice cafe. Would like some more options for vegies though.

Thank BronJen

Great Time with our 3yo daughter. You have to reserve half of the Day for exploration of exhibition and probably it wont be enough! :) 3

One of the stops that we made on the Hop On Hop Off Sydney Tour. The Powerhouse Museum is the major branch of the Museum of Applied Arts & Sciences in Sydney, the other being the historic Sydney Observatory. Although often described as a science museum, the Powerhouse has a diverse collection encompassing all sorts of technology including decorative arts, science, communication, transport, costume, furniture, media, computer technology, space technology and steam engines- Wikipedia

When I entered the Powerhouse Museum, I didn’t know for certain what it was for. The first thing I saw was a painting. However, there were many topics: Trains, carriages, helicopters, the steam machine, wedding dresses, kids activities, machines, fire brigade, Mars Lab, my favorite, cars, planes, rockets and the lovely Strasbourg clock.

I enjoyed seeing children having fun and was surprised by the many topics. I enjoyed myself in there. I learned a few things.

The Australians love this museum. That is cool! Worthwhile to visit!

Well to be honest, I was disappointed. This is the first science museum in the world, where I would ever go. And I was surprised by the lack of consistency. E.g. there are coffins of some African nation, next to it different kind of contraceptives, examples of dentures, bone crusher, Mars expedition, musical instrument, designer dress, then further is something about public transport and ecologic household... I was super confused out of everything, thinking that there has to be something more to this not coordinated space, but that's all there is. And groups of kids running everywhere don't make the visit more enjoyable, believe me on that. Huge disappointment.
