Close to shops, restaurants, bars 7 to 10 minutes walk from the centre. Quality/price very good. The comfortable beds, friendly staff, small swimming pool. Stayed on the high floors with a good view of the area and sea.

No restaurant, room service or bar available. Don't be deceived by the photo of the pool. It is tiny. Smallest pool I have ever seen at a Darwin hotel. There was a sign on bathroom door stating that if door wasn't kept closed, steam would trigger fire alarm and I would incur a fee. Free breakfast was in a little room. There were no seats available so I didn't bother waiting. Walked outside hotel and watched client being aggressively humbugged by long grasser for a smoke. No smoking area available within hotel grounds. Do not stay at this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel last minute because of a death in the family and needed somewhere that had three rooms available at a reasonable price for which it did.
Although the rooms are narrower than we are use too, the length of the room was good. Between the foot of the bed and the wall would be under 90cm. Another strange thing was the bathroom having a highlight window, which did mean anyone going to the bathroom during the night did create a beam of light casting across the bedroom. They have an underground carpark which was handy as the lift from each carpark level went to your accommodation floor. The continental breakfast didn’t have much choice, a few cereal options, three choices of toast bread. It was OK given our situation and we weren’t there during the day much. It was about a ten minute walk to the local Woolworth supermarket which also has a BWS liquor outlet.

Room tip: Street parking is on a pay system 7 days a week and is patrolled.

Stayed 4 nights at the Argus hotel, booked a twin single room by accident but got upgraded to a queen size for the same price. Room was very spacious, bed very comfortable. Brand new interior, room included a fridge with complimentary tea and coffee. The price included continental breakfast of cereals, fruit, toast and juices. The hotel also has a nice pool and a small gym area. Ask for a room on level 5 or higher for a beautiful view of the sunrise.
