We enjoyed this area of Brisbane very much. We explored the restaurants, museum and art gallery, took water taxi, listened to music, watched opening runner of Commonwealth Games run through, watched street performers, explored Malaysian house and gardens, looked at market.

Southbank is a great place to visit as a tourist. The markets are diverse and lots of well priced locally made souvenirs are available. Great to walk or hire a bike to ride across Goodwill Bridge to the beautiful Botanical Gardens.

The Irish pub and the markets on sunday afternoon though there are lots of people. The Red City cat made it easy to stop off and diferent locations including the Southbank. Went to the Lyric theatre and saw excellent performance of Aladdin. Well worth it
