Instead of staying in your typical modern hotels, we felt that the Royal Albert Hotel in Brisbane gave you something a little more unique. It has a classical decor which we liked. The rooms were larger than your average city hotels, with high ceilings. It has a large enough sitting area with a round dining table. We got a kitchenette/pantry so that way you can cook or warm up foods (Microwave) if you don't like to eat out as much. The location is definitely a big plus, the hotel is right in the center near Queen Mall. For a first time visit, this has impressed us quite a lot. In summary: The plusses are the locations, the rooms, the hotel service and the kitchenette/pantry. (They gave you complimentary milk from the mini bar, not bad) The least we didn't liked was that there was no free Wi-Fi and the showers can have some upgrading. But overall, we would come back again in our next trip. Cheers Everyone !

The furnishings in the room were very impressive and it was amazingly
quiet for being in the middle of the city.
The 2nd bedroom was very stark and never even had a bedspread on it.
The bathroom is very tired and needs a major revamp. The bath is for a small person.
The kitchen facilities were excellent.
The hallways were stunning and if the rooms were the same it would certainly be a 5 star hotel. (The lifts are also very tired looking)
The best part of our stay was the location and spaciousness of our 2 bedroom suite.

We chose the Royal Albert to end a family holdiay at. We enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to any family wishing to spend a few days in the heart of Brisbane. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Highly recommend this neat little gem in the heart of the Brisbane CBD. Location is fantastic - very convenient to all amenities. Hotel is serviced everyday, is clean and the staff friendly and courteous. I will be back when I next go back home for a visit :) Many thanks to everyone at Royal Albert for a wonderful stay :)

My two friends and I stayed in this hotel for a girls weekend away and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect as it is an easy walk to pretty much everywhere in the CBD - the Queen St Mall, Myer Centre, Treasury Casino, South Bank, QPAC, Museum, Art Gallery, Riverside Markets, Botanical Gardens just to mention a few. We thought the hotel entry and hallways were lovely but the lifts and our particular 2 bedroom apartment could probably do with a bit of a refurb as they looked a tiny bit tired. The lifts were a touch grotty and the grout in our bathroom could do with a bleach but apart from that the room suited us perfectly. It was clean, spacious, had beautifully high ceilings and windows decorated to suit the era of the building. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The carparking was a breeze and at $22 was cheap considering we were able to check in early at 10am and then leave the car there after checkout the next day so we could continue being tourists until we were ready to go home. This hotel is also cheaper and has more personality than others I have stayed in in the CBD. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to my friends and family and will stay here again should I need to stay in Brisbane City again.
