I looked at all the huge chain hotels in city centre. All offering at least $270+ per night with the usual buffet breakfast and 50 to 70 for parking. They provide the typical and small room. The Royal Albert was an interesting find - I read reviews and looked at internet. At least half the price and was overwhelming impressed. Location location in CBD across from Myer Centre surrounded with fabulous food and shops. The room was 2.5 the size of a regular hotel room. Old world heritage beautiful furniture and fittings. Beautiful bathroom with amazing shower head. Laundry and kitchen - all in the basic hotel room. It is massive- very comfortable bed and lounge. Book direct for excellent price and wifi. Modern and effective aircon and Satellite. Cafe at ground level with Melbourne/ European laneway entry. This hotel is above and beyond expectations- the price is well below the quality of the service and rooms. Will be back . Will tell anyone it’s the place to stay.

Honestly one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Brisbane. The receptionists at the front desks were lovely, I stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it was more then accommodating for me and my family as it had quite a large living space, perfect location right in the middle of the city for a very reasonable price. They parked my car for me on arrival and helped me carry my family’s luggage to the room. Definitely would recommend and can not wait to stay there again sometime soon :)

Stayed here after flying into Brisbane airport, I used ozscotts transfer which was recommended by the hotel staff. They Picked me up from the air port and I was taken right to the hotel carpark door greeted by staff offering to take my bags to my room.
Staff were amazingly helpful, loved the vintage room feel. Super close to everything city related. Would return here 100%

We'd spent an evening at the theatre and looking for somewhere for dinner. Most of Brisbane's eating places were now serving drinks only. It looked as if dinner was going to be an omelette at home. But then I remembered the Royal Albert pavement cafe so off we went and found they were still serving despite the late hour. Service was friendly, helpful and prompt. Food was most enjoyable. We'd certainly go there again and recommend the Royal Albert cafe.

We have visited the Royal Albert a few times over the years for a couple of days refreshing . The location is ideal and rooms nice and large . Over the years parking was included in the booking fee .When we went to check out they said change of management approx 6 months ago and now it is $22 dollars per night . We wanted a sleep in a were awoken with what seemed like workmen working above us just before 7am so the sleep in didn't happen .
We left more tired than when we arrived . Not the managements fault but the lack of understanding when we explained means we will never return .

Dear Henry,

Thank you for your constructive review, we were disappointed to hear that you did not experience exceptional service on your most recent stay at the Royal Albert Hotel.

As you were advised on our website and in the confirmation sent to you email when booking was made, secure onsite valet carparking is an additional $22 per night. Please be advised that the carparking fee is no longer included in our nightly rate as many of our guests chose not to bring cars.

As you were also advised on check out, we waived one night of carparking to try to compensate for the noise issue, as one of the residents was under in the process of re-painting his apartment, as result of our investigation.

We apologise for the miscommunication around your stay and ensure that we will highlight to our staff the importance of acknowledging guests requests and misunderstandings.

We hope you reconsider staying at the Royal Albert Hotel in future. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised by the service we can provide.

Kindest Regards,
The Royal Albert Team.
