It is a most enjoyable experience to cook your own Korean BBQ at Maru. The meat was of excellent quality and the service attentive. Especially in the regular changing of the cooking paper on the BBQ so it did not burst into flame!

In Brisbane for few days, we ate here twice. Be sure you come hungry, the portions are generous. Sought after dishes are BBQ at your table beef, pork, chicken platters. But spicy beef soup, bi bim bap and various flavors of fried chicken are not to be missed. I really appreciate the kim chee, such a nice flavor, great spice without the burn. They get really busy around 6p-8p. But have two levels so usually don't have to wait long.

Got few meals with friends. Chicken were delicious, especially shared one. Meals are very huge, so it makes sense to take it away after. They cooked it really fast. Personal is good, but not perfect. (Probably due to big amount of customers). I would recommend this place if you want something Korean.

It’s one of the worst dining experience we never had before. We came around 10:40 pm and asked the front desk is that still open. We sit down upstairs for the BBQ, the waiter seems like not happy with us and be rude to notice us that they will close within 1 hour and 15 mins. He said you need to go out after 12 pm with very rude voice. We came from Adelaide to eat the BBQ and we told him we will finished with in 1 hour. He was angry with us and left us alone. After We quickly ordered and he put all the dishes on the table very loudly and rude with his angry face. We ordered the spicy pork bone soup which is absolutely cold. Another waitress put the meat on the pot for us and left. No one look after us after that! We ask the extra sauce for the bbq around 11:30 and he said there is no more sauce for us due to it is closed already ??? Both the downstairs desk and google map all shows they close on 12 am. We ate the meat without any sauce within 10 mins and we feel awful of all the cold food and service. Definitely not come back anymore.

Went there for . Service was terribly slow 20 minutes just to order. Further 30 minutes and still nothing. At this point they told us it would be another 15. Then low and behold my friends dish comes out so now we have to wait for mine. I ordered teriyaki chicken unfortunately it was fried despite no mention of fried chicken for this dish as indicated on other menu dishes. After 1 hour out comes over cooked dry hardly any sauce. When we questioned that it is fried waiter points to a 3cm photo and says see it’s fried although the photo does not correspond to the menu number. Just hopeless say anything to shut you up. If you don’t like wasting time and money then stay away from this hole.
