Resort itself is very beautiful and setting on 4 mile beach is amazing. We rented a swim up to lagoon room which was very nice, spacious and very cool to walk out you room into the pool. Breakfast was really fantastic with a huge selection of fruit and breakfast type food.

We ate at 2 of the restaurants and although the food was decent the prices were very high and service was not great. Both places seemed quite understaffed which is weird since there is a lot of staff through the rest of the resort.

Port Douglas is close by and there is a shuttle (not the hotels) every 15mins for a price of $5 each.

Would stay at the hotel again but would eat elsewhere.

We spent 5 days in this huge hotel that was renovated two years ago. Our room was excellent, lot of light, space and very confortable.
Beautiful garden and the most amzing thing is to have the famous Four Miles Beach practically outsideof your room.
The staff is not at the top ...

We stayed at the Sheraton Mirage for 7 nights, couldn’t fault anything at all, once again. Staff, food, room, swimming pools were all unreal. The only disappointment was the in room dining menu, not very exciting. We look forward to our next (4th) visit!!

Spent a week at this hotel and was blown away by how rude and totally unhelpful the front desk staff was!

The service staff at the restaurant and bars is phenomenal. They are from all over the world and so helpful and wonderful to talk to. They really go out of their way for u, where as the front desk staff will not help u at all! A very strange and irritating situation. We needed help with a transport back to Cairns and were informed that since we had checked out already. (5 minutes prior) we were not guests anymore and they could not help us. One of the waiters from the restaurant helped us find transport!!!!

The tour advisor only pushes certain tours and again the waiter was much more helpful as to what we should do and who they recommend,

The hotel is lovely and quite unusual with all the lagoons and salt water pools. Just be aware that pools are not heated in Australia!!! And there is no hot tub. They are attached to the four mile beach but as that is public there are no lounge chairs . There are plenty of lounge chairs and little secluded seating areas around the pools. The lagoon rooms are really unusual and I would recommend trying to book them. The rooms are comfortable and large.

I would recommend staying here when in Port Douglas, but be aware u are a ways out from the actual town.

Just be careful of the front desk staff. Crocodiles are friendlier !!!!!
