The Bazaar has the most amazing savoury selection from delicious salads to a great seafood option. There are numerous dishes including curries fajitas fillet of barramundi orange chicken in addition there was an option of having a sirloin steak cooked to your liking all in all a definite treat .....however if you like dessert you will be very very disappointed there were 4 small options a chocolate cake a carrot cake and 2 other non appealing options. There was a small cheese option too. All in all to make this buffet worthwhile and 5 star a lot of work needs to be done in bringing the sweet part of the buffet up to the same standard as the savoury buffet

Hotel buffets always scare me. Are you getting a heavy seafood experience, for which I don't enjoy or eat or will this be loads of lettuce leaves.. Bazaar is not that.

Value was interesting, and it is the little things which I enjoyed.

Sit in the warm winter night, balmy feeling with drinks, why not!

An eclectic mix of food, from baramundi, shell fish and salads, to infused asian dishes such as crispy pork.

The highlight for me was the ability to have a steak! Never in my life has a buffet offered you a steak, to your choosing! Amazing!

Only minor things to say was -

1. Drink service can be a little slow as they are managed in another area of the resort, but a few extra minutes is not a big deal.

2. The dessert and cheese/ antipasto area did have some insect problems.

Off the menu request for icecream was made available, it was simple, delicious and great to have that. A big kid at heart, this was a win!

Would I go again, yeah I would...

On our first night in Port Douglas we decided to go to Bazaar. I was incredibly disappointed in the quality of the food and in the service and the cleanliness of the restaurant. The food was very underwhelming and minimal choice for a buffet that costs $65 per person. If there is minimal choices at least make sure that everything is of the highest quality which it wasn't. The staff were rushed and the tables were not cleared. My biggest disappointment was the desserts there were 3 tiny choices, that consisted of carrot cake that I swear was Sarah Lee, a tiny eclair the size of a child's thumb and a very rubbery small slice of cheesecake. The one positive was the seafood section that looked fresh. It was a every disappointing meal for our first night and we won't be returning.

The oysters were fresh and the prawns very tasty. They were constantly being topped up on the beds of ice by staff. Mains were not the usual selection of roast meats and were interesting and flavoursome - loved the tender coconut curry beef. Only thing missing was something light for dessert - no fruit. Hubby said the cheeses and cakes were great though.

Ok - For what is described as a "bazaar" experience (read just a smorgasboard) at $65 head we've had better pub food. Firstly the restaurant is located right next to the cocktail bar which is fine except the cocktail bar was playing exceptionally loud doof doof music and you cannot hear each other speak even in the restaurant. Food was like warm with tacos, pizza and congealed spaghetti. A nice whole cooked Barramundi had been picked clean by other guests when we arrived but they didn't replace this for over an hour and then the placed closed 15 minutes later ??? So I then ordered a fresh cooked steak which was part of the "bazaar"...after waiting half an hour I gave up and just got dessert. Dessert was a couple of sponge cake fingers...not even a cheesecake in sight. Finally if your waiting for drinks from the bar expect a 20 min or more wait as our waitress went MIA after half an hour and the live music in the cocktail bar started. In all you will get a better dining experience at the local pub.
