Good accommodation, great boardroom facilities with excellent service. Restaurants are very good, I guess you can do everything from one location for convenience. Really good stay. QT is located in the heart of the Gold Coast.

First time at QT long time Rydges patron. I use Rydges because their beds are fantastic, so thought I would try Qt.
Funky it is, glam and bright. The room was spacious the bed superb and pillows were sleep worthy. Woke feeling refreshed and not sore. Not disappointed at all. Your staff are outstanding and a credit to the organisation- your wait staff and housekeeping are brilliant, warm and friendly.

Well located and close to beach, restaurants and other amenities, but hotel is dated and average overall for the price.
Staff were ok, but nothing special and rooms are adequate, with bathrooms very average and dated...
Japanese restaurant on site was however lovely and food was excellent
Ocean view rooms are worth the extra cost

What's good?
- nice breakfast buffet in Bazaar, one of the best we've had at any hotel around the world
- free bike hire (even though some bikes are falling apart and need maintenance)
- complimentary use of beach towels (they don't even ask for a room number)
- 5 min walk to beach
- beds were comfortable
- reception moved us from a noisy room on level 4 to a room on level 7 after we complained about the loud music from the Hotel's onsite nightclub

What's not so good?
- Hotel rooms on the ocean view side of the building are situated above an outdoor area that has continual loud party music well into the night, and the windows on your room are not double-glazed. The Stingray bar and nightclub at ground level operates up to mid-night and has a speaker system blasting boom-boom music well into the evening. We were woken at 11.15pm because the club decided to pump up the volume. In the morning Reception advised us that Stingray was not allowed to play the music outside after 10pm. The hotel should be informing their nightclub to follow the rules. The hotel held a Melbourne cup day event, and the event organisers decided to add additional speakers outside with a DJ to blast even more music. The public bar areas were out of bounds to hotel guests while they held this event, so we had to wait until after 6pm to grab a beer from the bar. A bit inconvenient for their Hotel guests that just want to grab a drink in the bar. I get the impression the hotel would rather make money out of holding public events in their facilities than look after their Hotel guests who aren't part of the event.
- Rooms are dated and in desperate need of modernisation as multiple reviewers have said. Don't expect to see paintings hanging in your room. The decor feels more like a motel unit.

In my opinion this hotel falls short of a 5 star rating due to the ambience and quality of the furnishings/decor, lack of 5 star features such as a nightly turn down service (even 4 star cruise ships offer that!)

Room tip: Avoid Ocean View rooms that are above their outside party area, preferably ask for city view side of building if you're a light sleeper.
