Great overnighter

Had a single night stay here at the tail end of a business trip. Room had a self contained kitchen which was great and I had a good sleep. The front counter staff did a great job explaining how the place worked and also gave me some vouchers to get a discounted meal at the restaurant.

Yeah Bruh Yeah, Ribs & Rumps is down the road woo!

I usually stay at this hotel when i visit Townsville, Its located right down the road from the restaurants, An just across the river from the Clubs.
Price of stay is pretty good, No noise from the outside, Rooms are nice, get a lil balcony, Get a good nice view if your up top.

Ribs an Rumps is on the street, Visit that place too, screw the others =P

The Supermodel of Palmer Street

These self-contained studio apartments are GORGEOUS! They really are beautifully laid out and very nicely styled. I can't fault this for accommodation and the staff are great and very friendly. If you have a car, they also have adequate carparking.

On a negative note....no room service, mini bar or business centre...so if staying for business it can be a little lacking. If you don't have a car, it's a bit of a walk to anywhere...it's literally at the very end of Palmer Street and unless you like the limited menu at The Metropole Hotel or Masala Indian (which is DELICIOUS) you got a bit of a walk to the other end where you'll find plenty of casual eateries.

Room tip: Ask for an Ocean View...I was 'upgraded' and got the industrial estate view...meh.

It is wonderful to read that you found the apartments gorgeous, nicely laid out and modern. Our excellently trained and friendly staff will always be there to ensure you enjoy your stay. The apartments are self catering however the on site restaurant does offer chargeback and take away options for guest convenience. We do also offer conference facilities if required which can be located top floor of the heritage listed Metropole Hotel in front.

We are happy that you enjoyed your stay overall during your business trip. We look forward to seeing you on your next business trip to Townsville. We hope that you will be able to take advantage of the beautiful views from the Cityscape apartments overviewing the city, ocean and Magnetic Island.

My stay was for business however staying here was lovely. Beautiful view and loved the room. Nice decent size room for 1 person. Was clean and very well presented. I would recommend this place to friends.

Bird's-eye View of Townsville

With the opening line on check-in - "Good afternoon, sir. We've given you a complimentary upgrade." - what a great introduction to Oaks M on Palmer!! The room was on the 10th floor (of 11) and commanded a great view to the south side of Townsville. It was well-appointed and fully equipped for a longer stay with all necessary kitchen equipment. The service was friendly and the food at the adjoining Metropole Hotel was both delicious and ample. An excellent three-day experience!! Situated at the bottom end of Palmer Street, it is only a short walk into the city area, with a variety of eateries along the way.

Room tip: Good views in all directions - the higher the floor the better!
