Our initial feelings on entering Alphutte were Tired and Outdated. The restaurant appears to have been built in the 60s and never been refurbished. It did not make us feel special at all. Staff were pleasant and helpful and attended to us promptly and respectfully. The menu was comprehensive with descriptions stirring our appetites; including a very good specials menu.
Meal sizes were good and prices were what we expected; $15 for soup and $45 to $50 for mains. Desserts were $15 to $20. Did the soup or mains wow us; No! Were we so impressed that we will return; No.
Were there any complaints about the food; No but there was nothing outstanding either.
