Two of us were walking around the Salamanca area In lunch time. We saw two guests just having their food in the outdoor area of the restaurant. They showed us they had ordered the Special Lunch Set of the Day. The set lunch included a whole fish with tomatoes, salad and few grilled potatoes. The fish is big enough for two of us , around 500g.

Then we went to the cashier and ordered the set. The food arrived around 20 mins later. Fish meat tasted very good, Salad and potatoes were also good.

Food was great! Tried lots of dishes including, pickles, oysters, tarcos and the laksa. Everything was great. This place has a lovely vibe and is a nice casual restaurant with a good bar.

This place is not quite as smart and its food not quite as interesting as its neighbours along Salamanca, but it’s a bit cheaper as a result and may be exactly what families and others are looking for. Still has the same great atmosphere at the outdoor tables as you get all along this strip on a sunny day.
The food is mainly burgers, fish and chips and similar offerings from the deep fryer but, with oysters and other interesting stuff included, it’s quite a good simple menu. I had the soft shell crab burger which was fine, but could have been made much better with the addition of something more than just a fairly flavourless Cajun mayo and a side of chips.
Similarly the bar is absolutely fine while not as comprehensive as those nearby (smaller wine list, fewer beers on tap, just one size of beer glass, etc).
The service we experienced was also fine but a bit disinterested and lack-lustre. Despite it being not very busy we found ourselves waiting at the bar to be served a couple of times (perhaps they had engaged too few staff given the higher pay rates at Easter).

The outdoor area was pretty empty at 4 pm, but after I arrived it soon filled up. I enjoyed my organic apple ciders with calamari and sweet potato chips. I also enjoyed the people watching!
