My husband and I were looking for a place to eat on Easter Saturday and as it was very busy and we had not booked we were unable to get into the eateries along the front section. We were fortunate enough to get a table at Ciuccio. Service was prompt efficient and friendly. Food was delivered with good timing. We shared a bruschetta followed by carbonara and seafood marinara. My husband commented that the seafood dish was excellent with the sauce light not too oily or heavy.

Love the food here never disappointed. The last time our lovely hostess Bethany was away ill however we where entertained and served by Vincenzo filling in for her.

Fabulous Frutti Di Mare Paistro whether its the Risotto amazing meatballs and pasta whatever the choice you make you receive a smile and feel like a valued customer.

Whenever I miss Nonna and her amazing cooking we go here and get as close to home as we can.

Love a meal during the week as much as a special occasion

We chose this restaurant having arrived in Hobart craving an Italian meal. The restaurant is in a good location, however, that’s where our positive experience ended.
We had booked a table and were placed facing a wall at the back of the (empty) restaurant, missing out on the ambience of the square. We ordered a bruschetta to start and the bread was impossible to cut through, after trying to cut through the bread and having lost most of the toppings off the top in the process, we noticed that the bread below was actually mouldy and promptly stopped eating, the waiter asked how our starter was we advised that it wasn’t great to which, he awkwardly laughed and walked away from us before we could feedback.
We ended up with our mains, one with pancetta (was actually warm ham- not pancetta or bacon) and one with seafood, both of which were average at best, especially given the quality of some other restaurants in the area.. we would not recommend and will not be back.

Should have been a good meal with friends on our first night in Hobart with friends. Had the Dinner Special fish with prawns and was ill for the next two days, the only time on our six week Oz trip. A local advised later that we should only eat fish from the places that specialise in it. Friends were okay though but I couldn't return there.

We ordered lamb shanks and seafood risotto.

The flavours were authentic Italian.

The service was very personal and attentive.

We highly recommend this dining experience set in a peaceful environment
