Description: Jill & George Mure opened Tasmania's first licensed seafood restaurant, Mures Fish House, in 1973 in Hobart. When they struggled to source quality, fresh, local seafood, George went fishing. More than 40 years on, now owned by Will & Jude Mure, Mures remains a favourite of locals and visitors alike, located in Hobart's working fishing port at Victoria Dock. Mures' philosophy of fresh Australian seafood, sourced from sustainably managed fisheries still rings true from the ocean to the plate. With an international reputation for Tasmania's world class seafood, Upper Deck is the ultimate seafood experience in Hobart.Enjoy expansive dockside views and a la carte dishes, often changing daily with the freshest catch, featuring the finest seafood and very best local produce. Perfectly complement your meal with their award-winning exclusively Tasmanian wine list. Reservations are recommended. Upper Deck specialises in functions from private dining for small groups to large corporate events and are experienced in tailoring an event to suit your needs.

Recommended by the Hotel we were staying at and certainly not a disappointment - upper deck with great view of the harbour. We both had the scallops which were fantastic, small and very tasty and the dressing was perfect. Mains were the seafood laksa which was packed with delicious fresh seafood and lobster which according my wife was absolutely perfect. Good wine list but would recommend giving Georges range of wine a try - good value and very drinkable

Went for a birthday treat one night.
Others had fried fish and chips - delicious but pricey.
I chose seafood laksa - was enormous and utterly delicious!
Ambience was a bit disappointing - not much atmosphere.
Very quiet - so we could hear each other.
I guess you need to go here once to try.

Nothing but fresh ingredients. Friendly staff. Seafood Chowder is a must. It’s been a family owned business for a good reason. Must visit when in Hobart

I went to the restaurant for dinner with my elderly father when our cruise ship was in port. They have an external inclinator that staff helpfully operated so that was a big help in getting upstairs.

We had a water view table. Dad’s oysters were the biggest he had ever seen! They were also very tasty. It’s the main reason he loves this place.

I really liked my entree of scallops. The trout mains were good but not the stars of the night!

This is obviously a really good restaurant and full on a Monday night. Many diners were from the cruise ship which is a fairly flat walk to Mures.
